weekly ChickenDipa's 52 week 2012 Colour + Shadow added

Colour is nice, but I think I'd have liked to see a bit more of a story? Not sure what story mind you!!!

For an accidental shot, shadow is very good! Nice composition, even if you didn't do it deliberately!
 
colour got the rainbow reference in it with the colours

shadow bang on but is a difficult subject specially at this time of year could of done with this theme when there was natural light. I don't think it needs something else stands on its own its a shadow:thumbs:
 
Colour - For some reason I started to try and work out what this said (I thought each bit was an individual letter - doh). Certainly nice and colourful

Shadow - Full marks for spotting this one. Would it have been better rotated by 180 degrees. I thought so at first but I not now convinced. Keep it as it is. Nice one.
 
shadow - hmmmm, I like the elongated aspect, and the shadow at the top right looks like a door opening, so it's a Nosferatu cup lol

I think what's missing is the bottom of the cup, but I know why you couldn't get it in (the cup itself would be intruding) so yeah, I like it :)

Hi Alex. Missed a few weeks so am desperately trying to catch up.

Time – Ahh a nice cupper but missing the biscuits. Good choice for theme
Friendship – An unusual combination but works. Good composition
Age – Prefer the second shot with good DOF on 15 but either bottle will do me.
Pack – Bit of a tenuous interpretation to this one. Like the panorama type edit though.
Change – Good choice of subject with lovely colours and composition. Second attempt even better. Simple yet shows all the stages of colour.
Natural – Another fine photo for the theme. Well captured and exposed. Scotland has so many unspoilt areas.
Duo – Good find and like the crop to off-centre.
Up – Not quite as good as previous shots with weather against you. Lower viewpoint may have shown gradient going up.
Spread - #1 could have been great if all in focus so will go with #2 as preference.
Together – Definitely back with a goodun and my type of snack
Art – Good result from an experiment and something I’ve yet to try.
Flow – Good movement within the water and like your use of the diagonal. Brings back bad memories of a wet Derbyshire week, earlier this year.
Colour – Agree about too much space but overall good saturation of colour.
Shadow – On theme but just something missing. Can’t think what though. Also found this to be a difficult theme.

Will try to be quicker at commenting in future.

Color....I too kept trying to figure out what word was being spelt out with the pencils :bonk: Like the angles , the colors -though the 2 lots of 2 reds is a bit odd, bit too much space for me but thats about the only neg :)

Shadow ...nice capture & well spotted :thumbs: Quite like the almost secondary shadow round the edges but as per Ian feel it needs something else...no idea what though :thinking:
 
Hello all. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated as always! Will do individual replies later abducted have a bash at messing with the pencils.

Due to a busy week and another one ahead Shadow might have to stay as it is. I do like it so that helps :)

Need to have a nosey at some of yours now!!
 
Hi Alex, hope everything is ok?

I don't mind you using that shot for flow, after all it's as much yours as mine! I still find it bonkers that we took exactly the same shot of practically the same part of the dam! I think we both have the same stray leaf in it:bonk:

Colour, I do like the colours and individual shots, but the random angles messes with my OCD! I am either trying trying to read words that aren't there or look for something else:bonk: I didn't see the rainbow link either:coat:
I think for the theme I'd rather see all the pencils together.

Shadow, I really like the simplicity, it's a nice obvious shadow and you know what it is. I would have looked at flipping it though.
