CeeJay - R.I.P.

As has been said.. a tragic loss. My thoughts are with him and his family.

I wondered how he was getting on the other day...so sad to see this thread :( Grockle please pass on all of our thoughts and condolences to his lovely family xxx

My thoughts are with the Family.
I hope they will find some comfort in knowing that so many people cared.

Very sorry to hear this, god bless.

Really sorry to hear this, my thoughts are with his family and for all who made his last few months as pleasant as possible.

This puts everything else into perspective.

I feel for his family. As a father I can only try to imagine how it must feel to outlive your child.

Having read about his positive approach to everything they must have been so proud of him.

I didnt know him, but my thoughts are with his family and friends, such a brave boy. Its already been said but it puts everything else into perspective.

Hi All...

My apologies for taking so long to respond to this thread and dragging it up a month past... But I very much needed to come here and thank you all for the compassion, time and consideration you gave to an 'unknown' lad and his family...

The last thing I could do for him really was to ensure his funeral was a darn good day that truly reflected his character... There were more Man United tops and scarfs than you could shake a stick at and it will probably go on record as the scruffiest funeral going with the world and their army turning up in casual, bright clothing... 'Sombre' did not come visiting that day... It was perfect... :)

His eulogy made mention of all the cards he received for his birthday and the pleasure it brought him... That so many people from literally far and wide could come together and take a chunk out of their busy days to think of a young lad and stick a card in the post was something truly amazing... I don't think I'll ever be lucky enough to see such a thing again - we were very privileged...

I received some lovely condolence cards from members on here and again, I thank you for letting my boy creep into your hearts...

He had a requiem mass followed by a cremation and the final song at the crematorium was Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag... It was a fairly fitting exit for a scamp of a teenager who loved the track and definitely raised a few giggles with everyone there...:)

He fought the longest of battles for a little too long and just aimed to wake up every day no matter how difficult it was... It was hard to watch but I'm proud of his spirit and proud of the son who touched so many people in his own little way...

This is a lovely photo of Chris taken just after Christmas... He wore that smile from the cradle to the grave... And he taught me a lot along the way...

Thank you all again and a special thank you to Marcel for allowing the original post that generated so much support... He has left a huge void but knowing how many people cared goes a little way towards softening it...

Wow, Powerful post which has wanted to bring a tear to my eye.

R.I.P little man!

Much strength to you in the days to come Ann-Marie... ;)

Thank you so much for taking time out to pop over and spend time with us mere mortals when you must have so much more on your mind... :D

:p

Wow again. I feel priveledged to have been in the same thread as CeeJay. He will live on in the hearts and minds of all on here and all who were lucky enough to have known him.
He was as graced to have you as you were to have him.

God Bless.

Nick

Good to see you posting A-M. Thanks for the update. You don't need to be the village toughie any more. You can shed a tear or two and not feel guilty about it.

Wow, thanks for the update Ann-Marie. I think its brilliant that his funeral was a celebration of his life, and not a sombre affair, exactly how it should be :)

Thanks very much for the update Ann-Marie, and I'm glad the funeral was exactly as you wished.

It does make me proud to see so many people on here rally to help. Just shows there are some good people in this world. Everyone should be proud of themselves for making a small gesture that meant so much.

Thankyou once again for taking the time to give us an update.
