rather than cling to a religion that has it's routes in the Middle East.
Like Christianity?
rather than cling to a religion that has it's routes in the Middle East.
Yes. If this stance is taken the harder line ones will leave and the more moderate ones integrate better. The extremists would be hunted down by security services.
It would deter more Muslims coming to the uk and children of Muslim parents to adopt more western customs rather than cling to a religion that has it's routes in the Middle East.
Want a middle eastern life style, live in the Middle East.
One of the joys of living in the developed world is we have religious freedom. That cuts every way
I'm guessing you mean 'roots in the middle east'.Yes. If this stance is taken the harder line ones will leave and the more moderate ones integrate better. The extremists would be hunted down by security services.

Shall we make them sew a letter M to their clothes when in public while we're at it?![]()
It's all fair points. I just believe that science and religion can, and should peacefully co exists. Each informing the other. Science educating and discovering. Religion asking useful questions of that, (ie questioning just cause you can, should you). I think there's questions we will never answer, and religion can do great things in people's lives. Sadly it doesn't always.
I'm not sure why I believe, I honestly can't answer that. I know it's not a fear of death though. I do think we all have same higher purpose. A small part of something bigger. Sorry, I know that's a crappy cliche. I don't know how else to put it though.
I hadn't thought about my use of words when I used the phrase 'on high'. I was referring to religious leaders though, who often are sadly lacking
The \Christianity you seem to hold so dear is a MIddle Eastern religion.
If Islam grows and grows (the most common name iirc for new born boys is Mohammed in the uk) which it looks to be, then there will be no religious freedom other than to adopt Islam and all it's oppressive and customs.
I don't think you'd enjoy that. Freedom isn't something they value in Islamic culture and slowly but surely it'll be coming here.
Originally but it's been here 1500yrs in Western Europe, it's indigenous to Western Europe. Islam has been here 50yrs and it's attacking the fabric of our society already.
I don't see why not.Shall we make them sew a letter M to their clothes when in public while we're at it?![]()
So now you're rewriting the meaning of 'indigenous'.Originally but it's been here 1500yrs in Western Europe, it's indigenous to Western Europe. Islam has been here 50yrs and it's attacking the fabric of our society already.
Like it or not, our customs and laws are base around Christianity. Islamic ones are really very different.
That's great, so we create another oppressive state. And when all the Muslims have been dealt with, who will be scrutinised for inappropriate thinking next?

Christianity attacked the fabric of the society that preceded it.
It's clear you simply hold bigoted views of Islam as a whole and are incapable of reasoned discussion on the subject.
That's one of the saddest things of all.
Yeah but that happened outside of our life time so apparently doesn't count..Christianity attacked the fabric of the society that preceded it.

So long ago it's irrelevant.
.

Islam as a whole has brought no good to Western Europe but plenty of problems.
For evil to succeed it requires good people to do nothing.
You're so busy spouting [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] you never read anything anyone else writes. No, we act now to save our society. Apathy will lead to disaster. Look at Sweden and the increased crime rates. Why, due to Islam getting a foothold.
For evil to succeed it only requires good people to do nothing.
That's all I have to say.
Now I know you're yanking everyone's chain for the hell of it.
And you think Britain First are an organisation of good people.
A one word answer will suffice.
In English or German. You choose.
You're so busy spouting b****x you never read anything anyone else writes.
No one is suggesting we 'do nothing'. No one ever suggested that Radical Islam was a good thing, no one here supports IS or thinks we should accept any form of religious extremism.
So why do you think you're the only one who feels this way?
No you don't, we have been quite capable of filtering the good from the bad for hundreds of years. Civilisation is a brilliant thing. To get rid of the poisoned fruit you might have to throw out the whole lot.
Is that what happened to Adam and Eve?To get rid of the poisoned fruit you might have to throw out the whole lot.
No you don't, we have been quite capable of filtering the good from the bad for hundreds of years. Civilisation is a brilliant thing.
Not at all. 1500yrs are gone since pagan religions were made way for Christianity and our society has thrived under that religion for so long it's not real. Unless you know of some pagan people forcably converted. I know you have a few years on me but not THAT many...surely.
No, no one was ever forced to convert to a new religion before. Nor did they meet bloody and unpleasant deaths for refusing
And back to the fact that the people responsible for that are now mostly dead, the ones that aren't will face a lifetime in jail, I'd say that's dealit with.So back to the events in France and the fears over the reaction to some stupid cartoons?

I wonder if @ST4 has a problem with the Muslims from the Baltic States. The ones that look like him? Or is it just, for want of a better phrase, those of a darker hue?
