Daily Carol's 365 from 12th December 2012 - A Year of Happiness

Poor thing, he does look a bit dejected, doesn't he?!! :D

Poor you as well - I hope your arm feels better soon, Carol!

Thanks Toni, Sam and Sarah :)
Arm is feeling a bit better today - maybe all the stock filling did a bit of good rather than bad (much to my bosses joy ) - keep it moving etc - at least I can stretch it further today :)

Well another wonderful weather day where I am sat in until work time and was wondering what to do - had enough flowers and birds for now I think so decided I had better try an SP :(
Not a brilliant subject for me - Hate having my photo taken :( I had an idea of using the mirror on the wardrobe along with the mirror opposite it. I tried to get me reflected in both but it didnt quite work as I anticipated but I got another idea when I started editing. I decided to layer it as though it was reflections - might not work for everyone though so here it is plus an outtake

not sure about the out take and the reflection as it still his the reflection in the mirror

 you never know ;)

I have to say Carol. I absolutely love it  I like the 2nd most as I prefer the reflection panning away and even though not pin sharp it has a really artistic effect. Fab job

Thanks Ferj :) I think that is why I went with No. 1 as the main one as No. 2 wasnt as sharp as I would have liked

No1 for me! Love it! What a great idea, is it done on photoshop or do you have lots of mirrors? :)

Thanks Jake - I use PS as well as PSP and Photo Impact for my designing so have them all. Used Photo Impact for this one - just duplicated, resized and then border and shadow round each layer :D Glad you like it :D

Both awesome shot Carol, well done young lady

Thanks Vince :D

Loving #2 Carol! Looking forward to more :D

Hahahaha Toni - just sneaked home for my break .... nearly fell off the chair laughing at the thought of that .... we will see :D

As i said on fb these are just fab!! glad you've finally succumbed!!

I like them both, but #2 is the one I really like! :) I like that it makes you the subject of the photo whereas the first feels like it's more about the frame, even though it has your reflection in it.

So, what SP will you do tomorrow?:lol::lol:

Thanks Trace - only gave in as I was sick of birds and flowers and thought you would all be as well

Thanks Sam - Make the most of it as that is probably the only one - ever!

I prefer no 1 Carol, really good idea.

Thanks Phil :)

love both of them, but the layered one works best I think ecause of the strength of each part of the image, great work

Thanks Colin :)

Wonderful idea Carol, thought I think that of the two it's the first that works the best for me and the focus looks the best on that one

Thanks Matt - I agree about the focus :)

Well done Carol, much braver than me. :)

Thanks Sarah - only brave enough to do the one though

Oh today is sooooooo boring ..... the weather is so cold and windy I darent step out of the door .... unless I want to learn to fly in one easy lesson........... whoooosh!!!

So have settled for some more macro shots but no flowers or birds this time :) I dug out some food items - orange, lemon and then got onto mushrooms and onions

I decided to stick with the fruit though the mushrooms did look okay

So my POTD is a Lemon with the outtake being the orange (three shots layered on top of each other for a different type of tryptych )

Thanks Toni :D

Those are 2 terrible photo's.... it's ok ? I'm just being bitter (I'll get my coat) :bonk: ha ha.

Great shots first one for me too, I like the framing draws you into the lemons!

Very nice Carol - just what you need to fight off those coughs and colds

I love today's Carol! So luscious and juicy looking!

Thanks Sarah - Bought a bag of six oranges and thought they might help but came home tonight to 2 left  Seems someone has the same idea

Thanks Sarah :) Have learnt about the settings on the camera which are best to use with it and seems to be working with me now rather than against me

Been so busy today that I havent really been able to try much but this one is just to remind us that the Spring is just around the corner .... only 43 days left till it is officially Spring :D  Just one solitary Daffodil by the Lake :)
