You make a good point.Keep up with me in the corners? i think not
It would be probably safer to hang back a bit and watch you understeer off into the nearest hedge.

How much did it cost you to replace the entire suspension system?Erm nah, out of all my mates big cars like civic 1.4 and ford escourt 2.0 and golf 1.3, mine has the best handling.

i cant believe ive been missing this all my life, a vauxhall corsa is the best handling car in the world.......![]()
That's for not paying attention to the thread you was posting in.New what? Are they expensive?Work it out for yourself, new cav's
Blimey. You ought to get yourself over to Munich pronto and show the BMW engineers where they've been going wrong.Dude even a beemer couldn't keep up with me down these roads, not because i was speeding but i can take the corners better than him.....

Irrespective of your 1.0l Corsa p0wah and l33t driving skillz, I'd still like to know what a 'cav' is.

Maybe it's the suspension set-up from an old Cavalier...?![]()
It's possible. After all, the Vauxhall Cavalier was widely regarded in the motoring world as being the best handling car* in its class.
*Called a Cavalier and made by Vauxhall.
Haha it's pretty funny you don't know what it is, maybe because you have never touched a spanner and put it anywhere near a car? it's ok, i only know because i've been brought up around cars
haha nope
Oh your so funny, following on other peoples laughs.....yeah good one
I've touched a spanner. I've got a whole toolbox of them in actual fact. And I've even put one near a car.Haha it's pretty funny you don't know what it is, maybe because you have never touched a spanner and put it anywhere near a car?
So what, you were left on a Vauxhall forecourt as a baby and raised by a Cavalier and an Astra?it's ok, i only know because i've been brought up around cars
Enlighten me please.
I work with cars all day for a living and its not a term in regular use.
The Vauxhall Lotus Carlton was one of the truly greats, it's just that Corsas were never much cop - especially the new 'GM-Modified' ones...
And some of us were being brought up on cars back in the 1960's and 70's...so we might know a thing or two also...lol
Enlighten you to what?
Enlighten you to what?
I think the latest VXR series are magnificent, but it's still fun to windup Vauxhall owners....almost as bad as owning a Canon....![]()
he like the rest of us is facinated as to what a CAV is...
Forgive me but your earlier posts suggest quite the opposite...throwing down the gaunlet in such a manner is bound to get people's attention...
Maybe your Corsa does have excellent cornering abilities, the real test would be on a track and since that's not likely to happen, your argument is moot...
...and unless you can do a 1/4 mile in 10.2 seconds or less, you'll be looking at my taillights for the remainder...
so...what's a cav? c'mon, we're all dying to know - or is it some secret code only hoodies are privvy to?
WTF is a cav? I've been thinking and the only mechanical part that could possibly be shortened to CAV is the constant velocity joint but these are normally called CV joints.
thats all i can think of as well andrew, and very few cars use them......![]()
Using a Cavalier inner CV joints on a Corsa isn't unheard of... wouldn't make that much difference to cornering over stock though unless it's been lowered and stiffened, had uprated coilovers fitted etc etc...
never heard of coilover's being called cav's for short, and i've been modding my own car's for 8 years, and been in the scene a lot longer
got coilover's on my corsa c, and still wouldn't call the handling the best, much better than standard thought
edit, i know they are dirty, been taken off for a freshen up
![]()
like last year sometimeVery few? well mine does and so does the others lots cars
being in the business a long time doesn't Necessary mean that you know more.
that is almost certainly a challenge in the making...! anyone fancy testing young technogeeks knowledge?
hence the headscrathing smiley, most cars have them. i was mearly taking the ****.
also never heard of coilovers being called cavs and search on google (for 'corsa cavs' 'cav' 'corsa cav' etc) brings up nothing either.
can i suggest you remove your head from your arse a bit, you've only come under scrutiny in this thread because you threw down a gauntlet at the start and then in retaliation to the attention from it you start calling everyone else (people who i have absolutely no doubt what so ever know more about this subject than you do) stupid because they havent heard of your 'terminology'
