Currently on the coach on my way there. Anyone else going?
I know there's already a football thread, call this an abuse of admin privilege :D
Predictions? I'm going for 3-1 to City :)

Same old city, always cheating :D
I'm hoping for a good game with plenty goals and niggle. Wembley looks brilliant full of vocal support

Looks like one half of the city isn't going to be happy maybe next season

Happy now Marcel? :)

Surely most Mancunians support City while most non-Mancs support United?

He's a Liverpudlian.

So both halves of the city will be unhappy!

Star of the show wearing number 13 too.
If I was a footy manager this wouldn't happen even tho I try to claim I'm not superstitious haha

Don't Liverpudlians support Everton though? ;)

If you were talking about the penalty score, you were absolutely bang on! Enjoy the rest of your day & night. (y)

Extra time eh? Hope you don't miss the coach! :p

I know the ref only gets one view but disgusting challenge by Yaya on Lallana. Red any day.

Also, don't the keepers need to be on the line when the ball is kicked, Callebrero was well off his line?

That's just one of those inconsistencies. I think a certain team in red won a much bigger cup with an advancing goalkeeper about 10 years ago.

What an absolute rollercoaster of an evening. My heart and blood pressure couldn't take any more.
We had brilliant seats too.

I honestly thought City were the better team for most of the match. About 80 mins in Liverpool really stepped their game up and showed much more promise.
All I could think of for the next 40 minutes were "One unlucky goal from them and it's over".
I think every City fan in the stadium were convinced it was over for us when it went to penalties, especially given Willy's performance last Sunday.

Well I'm happy to say we were all wrong. I'll never doubt that man again. THREE WILLY! :D

Unfortunately, there was no way we were missing any of the extra time or penalties, and the coach was due to leave at 19:15 (An hour after the end of the match). We both decided to risk it instead. We're not missing this for the world!

When Toure's penalty went in, the place absolutely erupted.

Best atmosphere of any game I've ever been to (Even if we'd lost!). It was so electric. Loud fans (Especially Liverpool at the start!), LOTS of singing and chanting.
A few Liverpool fans in our block almost spoiled it turning it nasty (Especially for young kids who shouldn't be seeing that sort of behaviour).

Luckily, we saw them lift the cup, have a bit of a celebration then decided to hobble to the coach as quick as we could (With my wife's walking stick doing us proud :D).
Thankfully, there were a few coaches still there....(Although I'd had a two very kind offers from both @Yv and @MWCHVT to help us out if we'd missed it!)
After a 4.5 hour coach ride and a taxi, we got home at gone 1am. Long day!.

It was the first time both my wife and I had been to Wembley or seen a cup final, and it was sooo worth it!. We definitely got our money's worth!

Glad you enjoyed it Marcel. I've been to every Wembley final / appearance since we won the league cup in 76. I don't even need a sat nav to get there anymore. Still get emotional every time I go. Another great day. Now I live in Liverpool, yesterday was even better. Everton done for in the semis and LFC in the final.

Set off late and we were panicking trying to park somewhere right near Wembley without success. We knocked on the door of a rather large house right near the stadium and asked if we could park on their large drive way. The lovely man said yes, no problem. Wouldn't take any money and wished us well for the game. I may have to change my opinion of them there southerners.

There's only one Cabellero.....one Cabellero......he used to be s***e, but now he's alright, walking in a Willy wonderland......

Ha! I heard everyone singing that last night. Even when we pulled into the services at nearly midnight, everyone was still singing lol

That's really good about the house! Bit of faith in humanity there methinks :) Glad you made it in time though :)
