What an absolute rollercoaster of an evening. My heart and blood pressure couldn't take any more.
We had brilliant seats too.
I honestly thought City were the better team for most of the match. About 80 mins in Liverpool really stepped their game up and showed much more promise.
All I could think of for the next 40 minutes were "One unlucky goal from them and it's over".
I think every City fan in the stadium were convinced it was over for us when it went to penalties, especially given Willy's performance last Sunday.
Well I'm happy to say we were all wrong. I'll never doubt that man again. THREE WILLY!
Unfortunately, there was no way we were missing any of the extra time or penalties, and the coach was due to leave at 19:15 (An hour after the end of the match). We both decided to risk it instead. We're not missing this for the world!
When Toure's penalty went in, the place absolutely erupted.
Best atmosphere of any game I've ever been to (Even if we'd lost!). It was so electric. Loud fans (Especially Liverpool at the start!), LOTS of singing and chanting.
A few Liverpool fans in our block almost spoiled it turning it nasty (Especially for young kids who shouldn't be seeing that sort of behaviour).
Luckily, we saw them lift the cup, have a bit of a celebration then decided to hobble to the coach as quick as we could (With my wife's walking stick doing us proud

).
Thankfully, there were a few coaches still there....(Although I'd had a two very kind offers from both
@Yv and @MWCHVT to help us out if we'd missed it!)
After a 4.5 hour coach ride and a taxi, we got home at gone 1am. Long day!.
It was the first time both my wife and I had been to Wembley or seen a cup final, and it was sooo worth it!. We definitely got our money's worth!
