The SX210IS gives you full manual modes, plus priority modes, and a proper control dial so don't turn your nose up at it too lightly. Doesn't have RAW and nowhere near as good a sensor as the S90/95/G series Canons but does have 14x zoom and is nicely put together. Horses for Courses.
I tried one a few months ago, ended up getting a TZ10 instead.
While I prefer Canon for SLR's the Panny was better than the Canon compacts (just IMO, of course).
I just can't get on with the Panasonic stuff at all. The menus aren't put together well at all (especially compared to the on-screen menu on Canon compacts) and the lack of a control dial really bugs me. Not a massive fan of Canon's new 16:9 screens but it's something I can overlook for the positives to me.
Hi - do you still have this camera and you still like it?
thinking of this camera for my fiancee for her bday tomorrow since she broke her camera last week and even tho i told i will not be getting her a camera *** she never looks after it, i feel bad for her not having a camera.
