Canon & Nikon Mugs

will definitely buy one when the price goes down a bit :(
~ £40 is quite expensive for a mug :(

I'm sure once they become more readily available the price will drop, especially if the wholesaler/manufacturer can be uncovered :naughty:

I got a Nikon thermal mug, not as cool as a 24-70 one though :S

Wouldn't it be better as a P**s pot than a mug being Nikon

What gets me is why people bid over a "buy it now" price that can be had in another listing

BIN $45.77 & they bid $51..... :cuckoo:

I wonder if any Nikon users will be doing what this Canon user will be doing & thats buying a bulk load then selling them if he gets enough Canon users... Canon Mugs Yep its on TP as well...

Fun! That'll make a nice Xmas gift for the Mrs. :D

Did the Canon ones get cheaper or are they all that sort of price?

Think that they are cheaper as they are getting them in bulk & I think that theyre friend is posting them..

:nono: But dont quote me on that thou....

I best get two, then when some enlightened Canon user wants to swap to a nikon mug I can make some cash.

Well I have made the commitment & got one.... £19.44 delivered (Hong Kong) and some idiot just paid £33.00 on bids... Where is the sense in that - just because it was in the UK (4-8 day delivery)

nikon 24-70 mug £19.44 for anyone who wants one - in 2-3weeks....

cooool im avin one for work!!! might have the 70-200mm lol

How cool is that... I was thinking it would just be a regular mug with Nikon printed on it.... now if I could only justify twenty quid ;)

I had to laugh, click on the link and then click on "see other items" and the next item that comes up is a male penis stetcher for £26

EDIT: Too slow typing, Scott beat me to it :-)

Oh, I got it wrong when I read the title, didnt realise it was about drinking vessels :D :p

It was originally £34.00  thats why I jumped at the chance for £20 posted...

Are we talking £20.........and a penny :D

I think if you could source some and the quality is good then yes.

It'll all depend on the weight/volume of the them and the quanity that would need to be purchased to get the price right down, the shipping is going to be the expensive part of the equation, assuming that can be done without too much expense then it should be possible......

Just had an email back from the supplier re the mugs, the can do them at a really good price, if I can order 500  otherwise by the time shipping is factored in the wholesale price is only a couple of quid less than some of the HK sellers are doing them for...

Hmmm, if it had been 100 I bet you could probably have got enough orders but for 500 :nono:

Got a Canon 24-105L version.

CRAP !! don't bother :(

well it was a Canon - So what do you expect :p

Joking aside - what was crap about it

Well that takes the biscuit. I knew that Canon did a few milk bottles but never dreamed that Nikon were into coffee mugs.

The Canon 24-105L version I got from Honk Kong was poor quality, bad printing, cheap plastic and generally cheap to look at.

I suppose you get what you pay for mine was about £20 including p&p

There's one here for £21.99 with no bids - ships from UK.

I got one of the Nikon 24-70 ones for a laugh, its pretty ok for a novelty mug - obviously not the quality of a Nikon lens though

It looks quite realistic, the "zoom / focus rings" are rubberised and the inside is stainless steel. Printing on it is ok, but if you turn it upside down it does dribble. Keep it upright and it's fine.

Worth £20 to see the look on the wife's face when she saw it on the table

Finally picked mine up from the PO this morning....

The box was crushed - the mug itself is ok ( bubble wrapped) came in a gold box & a Nikon lens pouch (wanna be) its a scew lid (unlike Canon's - another thread) stainless steel inside & NOT plastic... A screw on Nikon rear lens end cap... Without giving it a test out so far - Yeah its good...

edit:
It holds the temp quite well - compared to my other thermos cup... After about an hour the only difference between the the 2 cups was about 1-1.5 degrees... The thermos mug was 1 degree hotter.. Then again after an hour would you still have a drink left

The nikon did leak slightly once filled & shaken but it stopped soon after...
