There's a mk3 of the 400mm?
Crikey, I didn't know about that. Thanks. Better get the credit card out.....Yes, check out this link https://www.wexphotovideo.com/canon-ef-400mm-f2-8l-is-iii-usm-lens-1674441/
more like get a mortgage out?!?!? lolCrikey, I didn't know about that. Thanks. Better get the credit card out.....
So I'm assuming the difference between AF-C tracking priority and AF-C Speed priority is that the former improves accuracy whereas speed priority mean it's faster but may not be accurate? What's the point of shooting with an AF that's not going to be accurate?correction

Its a way to market the camera better, Sony and Nikon do it also.... dish out high end specification which seem good at first glance, they you dig further and it only is supported in certain modes / conditions etc.So I'm assuming the difference between AF-C tracking priority and AF-C Speed priority is that the former improves accuracy whereas speed priority mean it's faster but may not be accurate? Ouch lolMaybe DoF will cover any sloppy focus. It often does with DSLR's.
The Sony A7 III is priced at £1999 so maybe the Canon is a little bit high.... when you start comparing the specifications, the Canon only has certain advantages over the A7 III but I am not sure the price matches the performance offered.£2349 UK price for the body, that's way to high!
By that logic all you’d get is cheap rather than quality....You had one job Canon, keep the price low. Buh bye.

According to the op Canon should have concentrated solely on price? So then they’d get slated for spec, produce decent spec and get slated. Being a camera manufacturer is like being a duck on a shooting gallery....What 'logic'? It's a need, I have no money, they can carry on without me ... I wanted quality AND cheapYou do realise that prices such as $1400 - $1600 were being suggested right? Then they come up with a price higher than the best competition
Correct.... Nikon have done the same... they have priced it higher than the Sony A7 III, hopefully the brand, marketing and customer loyalty will shift the unit numbers they need/want.What 'logic'? I'm selling all my current canon gear in anticipation of that.its been posted here
Sell all your Canon gear and go all SonyI think I’ll pass.
Although £500 for a 35/1.8 IS is a bargain.
Isn't that why they make budget camera's (APS-C, M4/3) to cater for the budget photographers.None of these companies are winning over the budget shooter, and they possibly make up for a lot more of their sales. Why do you think Canon have so many entry level to mid range cameras
Budget camera at non-budget prices?Isn't that why they make budget camera's (APS-C, M4/3) to cater for the budget photographers.

Sony is even more attractiveONE company needs to have the balls to make a FF ML camera for the budget shooter, I'm disappointed is all, it seemed like Canon might just do it. But even those with plenty of money are saying this is over priced. They do not back it up with the goods, not this time. Now the Nikon is looking more attractive.

lol
Because then they wouldn't make additional revenue from the removal of the click-system?View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSV0Vzh2Rvk
watching this as well and for vlog shooters wishing to use the extra rin adjustment on the leneses, it makes a audible clicking noise and u have to send your rf lens to canon for them to remove it for a fee. why diddnt they offer a switch on the lens to remove the clicking noise?
I think the Sony A7 III is already priced well at £1999, you can get it cheaper if you shop around. It's certainly starting to look that way. Now if Sony dropped the price on that by another chunk suddenly, it would put the wind up the others.

Yes its when they charge to add C-LOG to the 5d4.Aaaand it gets more pathetic ... seriously, a fee? to remove something no videographer wants? [clicks on a ring]
