Now the big problem though is what lenses. Having sold off all my L glass before I'm starting from scratch.
I'm thinking at the moment maybe
24-105
50 f.12
70-200
On the issue of the 70-200 I have owned the ISmkII and know how good it is but I am wondering if given the excellent high ISO on the 1Dx that maybe I could go with the f2.8 non-IS. Might be a false economy but the non-IS and the 24-105 are about the same price as the 70-200 mkII if bought from Kerso.
The 50 f1.2 looks outstanding but pricey. The f1.4 is maybe an option though?
I think I will ultimately get a 400 f2.8 for sports but at the moment I don't earn enough from that to justify the costs. Maybe sometime next year when I have got back into the swing of things I will look at it. I think for now the 70-200 and a 1.4 or 2x converter will suffice.
That little lot should cost up to around £8K. Oh dear.....
PS - Sorry for the thread hijacking.
Do u have it on trial Rob or have you bought it?
Andy
What about a WA lens, either the Canon 10-22 or the Sigma 8-16 iirc?
Andy
Just borrowing for a few days. But I do want one. n.b. the want is greater than the need.
If only Kerso was VAT registered :bonk:

Nigel, you could buy from Bob's French source and reclaim the vat.
Should be pretty easy,
George.

A pity there isn't a way of supplying them fully charged. It's like buying a car if you had to wait for the wheels to be supplied. Then when it arrives you have to wait for the battery to fully charge lol

Tony is overwhelmed by the hefty instruction manual.... he'll comeback to us sometime in 2020...
Until I used it last night at football in AI Servo, I didn't think that the focus point not lighting up in red would be an 'issue'. Yes you can live with it, but I find it a PITA. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed in a firmware update.
If you don't need/want it, then you could the option to turn it off.
n.b. no complaints about the speed of focusing as mentioned in my post one page back.
