I was just stating that I am happy with the canon & glad I changed from the sigma. I'm sure the op knew what I meant as he has ordered the canon.
As someone once said, the best camera is the one you have with you. Based on that, I think I'd be more likely to have something the size of a Canon 100-400 L with me than a 150-600 Sigma Sport based on size alone. For a start, the 100-400 would fit standing upright in the camera bag I carry my stuff around in (in fact I keep looking longingly at the empty compartment I'm saving for it and telling myself it will come down in price eventually if I'm patient enough!).
The 150-600 Sport wouldn't fit, so I'd need a separate case for it and I'd have to carry that around if I wanted it with me. In the end that would annoy me, so I'd only take it out when I thought I needed it... then Sod's Law would dictate that I wouldn't have it with me when I actually did! As you can tell, I've given this subject some thought, and I believe the best lens is the one I'm likely to have with me, or at least near me in my camera bag.
Seeing how he has already taken the plunge and gone for the Canon 100-400 II, .......or, buy a new bag for it as I did when I bought the Sigma [emoji3].
Actually you'd be surprised, it fits, attached to the body, in a Lowepro 400aw alongside a load of other lenses which I see recommended by users of the 100-400 ironically.
