Wow that is a big difference. Yes definitely worth shopping around.Thought the same but their prices are £40 per tyre more than I just paid & that includes fitting.
Once again it shows that shopping around gives the best results
I think a lot of that comes down to the fact that the average retailer won't hold 19 inch tyres in stock but order them in hence not getting the discountsThe last set of 4 tyres that I purchased on line saved me £200.
I went around the local garages (big & small) & no one could match the price. I was even shown by one garage the price they pay from the supplier & that was cheaper than I had been quoted.
However, I think a lot of this comes down to the fact that I have 19 inch rims on the car & if I had smaller (13-17 inch) then the garage price would be a lot closer to the e-retailer.

Nice one, never heard of that one. Good to learn about another supplier. Just done a comparison for my tyres and the price came out really well. However don't forget the fitting cost, as when I added those it came out as exactly the same as others inclusive of fitting including mobile fitters. So always compare like for like. For mail order tyres, I've just used tyreleader.com
Found them to be slightly cheaper then camskill with free delivery.

Sounds like you found a good compromise there! Have you thought about getting a spare set of rims for your winter tyres? Ive got a Freelander and run 18inch wheels with M&S in the Summer and 17 inch wheels with the winter tyres - 17 inch winter tyres are a hell of a lot cheaper than 18sMy tyre size is a little unusual and when I wanted winter tyres last year (which incidentally turned out to be a bit overkill) I was really disappointed with the lack of choice in most local fitters. Lots of cheap Chinese tyres or very expensive ones in Kwik Fit making it about £550 fitted. So I went to German company Tyre Leader and paid about £320 which bought me a brill reviewed premium tyre at local Chinese prices or less . I bought my Nokians in the exact size and speed/xl that I wanted and they arrived at a nominated local tyre/exhaust place a few days later. I paid them £10 a corner to fit and chuck my old tyres. Although we didn't have snow the Nokians incidentally were faultless in the cold/wet and frost, genuinely never slipped at all. In about April, I found Formula 1 were doing the best price on a set of 'summer' tyres, Goodyear Efficient Grip Sport. They were happy to hand me my winter tyres back and will fit them later this year. They fitted my new Goodyears. The Goodyears, no complaints, quiet, grippy, been very good in the wet, maybe not quite so perfect as my oid Toyo's in the dry, but recommended. Not as if I drive the car to the limit anyway. Anyway, the real point is mail order worked for me and can't see anything wrong with using local tyre fitting companies, they fit them just the same at an agreed price.
