Hey, I got my speedlite in april so it's fairly new. It's always been looked after perfectly I've never dropped it or banged it or anything. However the other day I picked it up to put on my cam and I heard a rattling noise that sounded like something loose. I then noticed it was a loose peice of rectangular glass in the flash head. But since then loose peice has got jammed against something, so when I turn the flash on it makes a horrible grinding noise and the "zoom" function constantly flashes and won't let me change any settings on the flash. The flash still fires though if I press the pilot button.
Hopefully someone can make sense of that. I was thinking of opening the flash myself but I don't want to risk damaging it. Will it still be covered under canons warranty or should I get it repaired somewhere?
