How come over 830,000 people have "liked" the Britain First Facebook page? Are there really nearly a million fascists in the UK???

So I would suggest that it really proves nothing from a population of 64 million people![]()

Why are you even reading their facebook page. How come over 830,000 people have "liked" the Britain First Facebook page? Are there really nearly a million fascists in the UK???

Simply Yes (well not necessarily Fascist, but certainly racist and denifitely xenophobic)Maybe that people actually like their page. Just a thought like. By liking their page, does that automatically make the likers fascists. I don't think so. Are the even fascists themselves?

Get a grip, it's not about derogatory stereotyping or a personal attack on anyone, its a clarification, I don't believe that Britain First are fascists (I really don't think we know enough about them to make that statement), but they're certainly racist and xenophobic. If someone has racist views, they're a racist, it's frankly hilarious that they'd find that a derogatory statement, but like I alluded to, human nature is complicated, who knows what goes on in their heads. So, the answer to my question in your view is no then (or not necessarily as you put it). I never, nor did the op, mention racist or xenophobic, yet you choose to throw that in.
With that, a big grin on my face at your pathetic attempt at derogatory stereotyping, I'm off to work. Have a nice day.
let's keep some intelligent perspective![]()

But the remark of the OP, and Brash, was in relation to fascism. On a related note, I'm definitely a socialist and I enjoy champagne*, but no one ever labelled me a champagne socialist because I don't fit into their idea of what a Champagne Socialist is.
*for balance I also like real ale and continental lager - maybe that's why I'm not a champagne socialistwho knows.
Not all Racists are Hitler, and not all Socialists are Stalin, let's keep some intelligent perspective![]()
This!!But the remark of the OP, and Brash, was in relation to fascism. So it is a no from you thenI agree about the racism, but that wasn't the what was remarked upon.
PS. If you move to Islington you may fit in the category![]()
what phil said - because they continually hijack the help for heroes, poppy appeal etc memes, and some people don't think before they click
then there's the people who think 'britain first' must be patriotic .. without realising they area spin off of the BNP
So should the question in the OP have said Racist rather than fascist? But the remark of the OP, and Brash, was in relation to fascism. So it is a no from you thenI agree about the racism, but that wasn't the what was remarked upon.

To be honest I honestly don't care either way, that is for the OP to clarify which he has done since. I have no time for the organisation, and do find it despicable how they dupe people into singular subjects engineered for the headline readers. It is what I just dislike on facebook in general, what is it with people sharing images with overlays, or what I notice more recently crap photos of old people inviting likes etc.So should the question in the OP have said Racist rather than fascist?
As it seems no one really knows whether they're Fascist, but we can all agree probably they're Racist.
And the interesting question is whether everyone who likes their page is a Racist (as per my first post, I suspect not).
I know some very lefty people who were duped into sharing their stuff about cruelty to animals early on.

I see it in the schools as well, and everywhere. People seem to put a lot of meaning to an 'online' like. It doesn't mean anything, in my opinion it removes conversation and removes an educational element out of it. I'm just waiting for the first daily mail story that someone didn't get a job, promotion, husband, benefit because they 'liked' something online....
It's all without meaning, yet very cleverly plays on that inner desire of many human beings to be liked and without quantative confirmation they can't possibly be likeable?
Did that actually answer the question?![]()
You do realise you can filter out such content. That's what winds me up about them too hijacking things like the poppy appeal and help for heroes
I see it on Facebook all the time
Would you care to elaborate then we can all understand what your statement referred to!This!!

What's not to understand? I agreed with what he said. I thought that was pretty obvious as I quoted his post.Would you care to elaborate then we can all understand what your statement referred to!![]()
That's why I've never hit the ignore button, it's a bit 'cutting your nose off'. It's easy enough to 'ignore' or 'take with a pinch of salt', or even 'be prepared to be shocked, or just take the p***'!Sometimes on certain devices or apps it doesn't show the quotes, I've noticed that in the past and makes for very strange reading of the forum. Likewise when you ignore someone, the conversations can be very odd![]()

Each post has a "v" in the top right hand corner, click on it and it gives several options.I didn't know that will have a look
