Week 4 - Morning Light

Shoehorn Alert!

An image from some years back, but rolling out of the printer today - 6 a.m. watching the waves rolling in and out at Teignmouth was beautifully meditative.

Love it - great Shoehorn and meets the brief in more ways than one!

Both good shots,. Second shot for me as I like the light on the front of the house

I love the gentle light on the house. Nice shot.

Love your chosen pic. Really creative.

The printer image is a unusual take on the subject and all the better for it

Brilliant graffiti and the shot is really well composed.

Very imaginative shot of a photo in print too, really clever and could be an advert for Canon!

Week 5 - Snapper's Choice & Tech - Wide Angle

I decided to revisit a shot from a few years ago. A very minimalist jug on a worktop. Since it was shot with a 35mm on a full frame camera I guess it just about squeaks in as Wide Angle (not what I was planning to do for that Technical challenge at all, so may decide to revisit that, but for now, it will have to do).

Very minimalist indeed it works well with the light highlighting the jug perfectly

That's a briliantly lit and composed image - my attention keeps jumpig between the jug and the pattern on ther worktop. Brillaint!!

What a great concept and so well composed. The lighting is excellent.

Excellent shot!! I'm not sure if the pattern on the surface adds or distracts. I guess I'll keep looking! Either way, it's a great minimalist image.

Nice shot Paul. Nice lighting.
I think the jug is very slightly too far left for me - but that's clearly a personal view, and possibly because I'm thinking in 3rds.
However, it's still a very good shot.

Thanks Simon. If you think this one has the jug too far left, you should have seen version 1, it was almost on the edge. I specifically wanted to "break the rules".

Just beautiful. I love minimalist photography and this is a great example.

LOL, nice use of what you've got. My first thought was that you were trying to "hammer" home the concept... :D

Love the concept! Nicely executed.
