weekly Boots' 52 for 2023

Rubbish indeed - do what you need to do to catch up though! (I have).

Lovely light on the old boat - giving a nice reflection in the rippling water. I'll be looking up about the wharf later, sounds interesting.
Thanks Graham!

Good catchup shots Paul. I particularly like the shot of the old boat. Lovely colours and composition.

Week 25 - Snapper's Choice

A windswept tree above Seatown, Dorset (sorry about the caravan park, they're hard to avoid).

That's certainly a lovely windswept tree.. wondering if a lower perspective and slightly to the right would have lost the caravans, but then maybe it wasn't possible?

Thanks Helen!

I did try that, but lost the gap between the branch and the ground. I'm sure there was a solution, but time was ticking by...

That's a lot of watches, and none of them are showing the right time (except for twice every day, I presume) :)

Ha! Thanks Martin. Perhaps one of them was showing the right time... but which one?

PS They do all work.

Nice set of clocks to watch Paul :)

Two good shots Paul. I was waiting for someone to post a watch shot!

Great outside the box thinking for the theme. Nice collection!

Week 27 - Torn / Ripped & Tech - Macro / Close Up

A literal take on the theme allows me to also tick off the technique.

That's nice - good use of the blue pattern to add interest, and I like the double curl giving twice the detail in the tears of the paper.

I thought about doing something like that Paul, but now I'm glad I didn't. You've done a much finer job than I would have :)

I was thinking of the poem "come friendly bombs and fall on " before remembering that it's Slough. Love the concept.

LOL, Stains are very unsightly...(and so is the crease) :D

Top tune and good take on the theme :)

EAR WORM ALERT!!!!

OS maps are always interesting, nicely composed.

Pretty vacant is a unique idea and well executed. Possibly a little heavy on the grain would be my only thought? Although I get the idea of using it...
