weekly Boots' 52 for 2023

OS maps are always interesting, nicely composed.

Pretty vacant is a unique idea and well executed. Possibly a little heavy on the grain would be my only thought? Although I get the idea of using it...

Thanks Graham. I knew carting the map around for fifty years would be finally worth it!

Definitely an ear worm alert! Funnily enough a couple of nights ago we were talking about seeing them at a club in Hull - I have to say it was many years ago!

Thanks Helen! I never saw them, but they certainly had an impact the adolescence of a generation.

A little Sex Pistols is always welcome!

Week 30 - Windows

Rainy Window.JPG

Memories of summer holidays as a child.

Nice focus on the rain drops but it reminds me of more recent weather- last month.

Week 31 - Abandoned

The poo fairy will be along in a minute

A bit crap that one Paul :D

Nice take on t'theme :)

Good rainy window fits for the theme. Lovely range of greens from the trees or bushes behind.

Poo bag looks a little 'placed', but stands out nicely and the reflected clouds in the river / canal work nicely.

Lovely, abstract window shot. Very soothing to look at.

I hope the poo fairy washes his hands before doing his night job of collecting teeth... :D

Window: lovely tones captured here
Abandoned: you've actually managed to create a rather pleasing image - the light and reflections are lovely - apart from the bag! Makes the point even stronger.

Thanks all! I really don't want to think about the tooth fairy having a different job during the day,

Good take on the theme Paul :)

Catching up on commenting,

Watching - great study, I like the way they all show different times.
Torn/Ripped - the colours work really well with the texture, the image almost looks a bit 3d.
Unsightly - this one did make me chuckle
Abandoned - shame we see so many of these, I just don't get why people think it's better to leave the plastic AND the poo??

Thanks Nicky!

Week 33 - Machine

A machine for raising and lowering a heavy boat!

The Lock.JPG

Love how it looks as though the dog is helping by watching the bow.

Nicely exposed - must have been a bit of a challenge. I like the way both dog and owner are watching the lock.

Definitely focused... clearly a high pressure activity! Thanks for the comment!

Ha ha! Good spot, and another one here begging for them to be lined up. Who did this! :headbang:

Circles- would hope there is a good reason they are set out like that but maybe it was late on a Friday

Random indeed. I take my hat off to the designer who didn't like his ducks in row!

Great spot.

Can’t believe anyone would lay them out like that on purpose.

Random indeed. I take my hat off to the designer who didn't like his ducks in row!

Thanks all!

I admire the optimism of anyone who believes this was designed.

Water nice selection of meter covers Paul :)
