Bolton Abbey - Sun 26-11-2006

hmmmm turning into a bit of a cookery met, i guess we all fetch something thats lunch sorted ;)
 
There should be a Reading Abbey meeting for the southeners round here ;)

American food,

yummy.

We went to Florida in 2002 and I've never eaten so well, I miss the pulled pork and griddles and stuff. That stuff was fantastic.

Trying to remember what we had there that we really enjoyed. /me goes away to think.
 
I can't really help with fresh stuff but I have access to most bottled/canned food. What I really miss is taco bell. What I wouldn't give for a mexican pizza. mmmmmmmmmm.

Its like pork thats been pulled to pieces and its all in BBQ sauce, its yummy.

Trust you to turn it into something filthy ;)

Ooooo, I've just seen some shots from Bolton Abbey (posted on another forum) and cant wait to get there. Even just ordered a Sigma 10 -20 mm from Kerso ready for the event :D :D
 
My first proper Digital Camera was a Nikon, it was nice, used CF but was bloody slow. Coolpix 885 I think it was.

Took some good photos in Disneyworld back in 2002 it did.
 
Now being a total (overseas) Southener and not really totally au fait with Northern England, I've just had a thought. This Bolton Abbey, is it a bit like Leeds Castle? No where near it's namesake place! :shrug:

Bolton is in Lancashire, so where is the Abbey? Do we need 2 packs of sandwiches?
 
Yeah the Abbey is in York and Bolton is in....Bolton! Did no one tell you that! - They just have a REALLY big telescope so you can see the abbey from Bolton.
 
i would attend because B.Abbey is really close to me but its not great for me in the wheelchair :(
But please take lots of pics for me and post on here, last time i walked round there i was only a kid and the memory is a bit blurred. Should be a nice day for you all weather permitting, if the weather is bad i might sit in my car taking photos of you all getting wet :lol:
