Hi Lynne
Gawd... Sorry, another I have got further behind than I thought :bonk:
Joy - Excellent original take on the themeBirds in Flight, so hard at times - well caught
Short Re-shoot - Nice image, would have liked to see some of the drink in the glass, but in any case, great background
Small - Lovely shot, Great colours, good dof and perfect composition
Straight - The Cows are Great, good detail when viewed large, nice idea.
Lines in the road, screams straight to me, good road to do, I had the same thought, but couldn't get to a road that was straight 'And' had no traffic
Letter - Very interesting take
I love the shot, was it a crop or a proper pano stitched together ??
Contrast - Love that, simple in design but very effective, love the bright colours
Contrast 2 - On a black background again viewed large, love it, perfect composition, Great whites and Blacks, well taken
Mineral - Like the way you have done this, adding the text is a nice idea, the background finishes it off nicely
Dard - Mmmmm lovely chocolate - Nice clear shot, shame about the broken chunks, but doesn't really distract from the image, well lit and good background
Time 1 - Like the point of view and the processing, works well for me
Time 2 - The strongest of the 2 for me, again I dont see the light on the door as an issue, a great feel to the shot
Body - Spot on focus for the theme, like the crop and the twig in the background, cute looking spider
Liquid - Oooo I like that, minor crit straighten to match railings, but great colours, and the movement well caught
Mineral re-shoot - Barbed wire never fails for me, great dof, liking the composition and the barb with just a bit of rust on, Perfect !!!!
Up - Good take on the theme, I'd clone the sheep out but apart from that I think it works well, nice winding track up the hill
Up 2 - Now that's more like it, much better colour too![]()
Hi Lynne
UP #2 - much improved version of the shot - even tho the first was pretty good, this has a better comp and leads the eye up, so very much on theme.
Up #2 feels much better. The central train works well, the lines really draw the eye in and through the scene and the sheep on the lower right 1/3rd. Nice.

You're more than welcome... can't believe how far behind I was on some, hopefully I will be up to date with all soon, so it should be easy after thenJeepers DK....many thanks for the mega catch up & very kind comments/crit...really appreciate you taking the time![]()
Number 1, is the best I would say. The landscape crop suits it well. The composition is good, although I would probably crop a bit off the bottom, also there is a little white bit just below the turbine on the right. Number 2 seems to have disappeared, but this one didn't work for me. It didn't have the impact of number 1, it seemed to be lacking a bit of contrast too,
Re-edited & posted image....minus white bit 'ello, I keep meaning to visit some local turbines but never get around to it.
Of the 2, it's #1 for me. I like the silhouetted turbines and the hint of sunset rays. Tad off the bottom maybe and little bit of detail??
BTW, have you seen this clicky linky
Cheers.

Have to agree number 1 with a bit off the bottom not too much though. Theres a good feeling of both distance and isolation.
ohhh I love #1 - so atmosphericfor me the 2nd one is too tight a crop I think

Hey Lynne
Duo 1 - That is a lovely image, nice rays coming from the sun, good blacks and the turbines relatively caught in sequence, my fav of the 2
Duo 2 - You have froze the blades well, and the nice fluffy little clouds help fill the frame, nice shot
I like them both but #1 stands out for me. You've captured an atmospheric feel with it. I bet the sky was a lovely colour but I do feel using B&W has really worked.
Good shots
#1 for me because of the comp, the sky, the atmosphere. Really do like that sky.![]()
Ended up with 3 as follows>>>

hmmm I prefer no.3 but only because of the blurred trees on no.1 - this is the problem with long exposures on windy days
the B&W is fine but I seem to be in a colourful mood this week
no. 3 I love the angle and pov too![]()
No1 for me i like the blur of the trees they are flowing with the wind![]()
NUmber 2 for me Lynne, it looks great viewed on the black bg of flickr. Nice composition, good exposure, number 1 is almost there, but there is too much movement in the trees for me.
Hi Lynne
Flow - all on theme
#1 - looks a bit yellow to me. Movement in the trees is too much for me but very nice composition and good take on the water. Best angle and pov of the three.
#2 - I think lacks impact, trees re blurred and distracting, sky a bit featurless.
#3- Again good comp, good water but fallen trunk in middle is a bit indistinct
Long time no comment - I'm sorry!
Anyway, down to business.
The 2nd tram is like a post card shot, well done.
I prefer the 1st 10 stopper shot, I'm not bothered about the blurred tress.
The fact that two are really blurred and almost on the thirds just adds to the scene for me.
The bicycle is nice, simple but effective.
Good to see you're still going, what is it, 80 odd weeks doing a challenge!!
#1 for me. I like the overall composition and muted colours. You've done well with the water...it's quite easy to go overboard, as I often do, and expose too long thereby having the water too smooth.
Although I like the overall composition, it does feel a bit central. I've tried a few crops but none improved.
#2 looks a bit flat (grey) on my laptop. I edited and underexposed a tad and this produced a bit more contrast, which I liked.
I actually like the tree in the center.
Cheers.
I really like these milky water shots so going over the top is gonna be hard to avoidI like #1 as the overall image is really pleasing to the eye. At first I thought blue sky and fluffy clouds would have helped but then realised that the sky nicely compliments the blurred colour of the water. Nice one.
Ooo No:1 for me too... a very milky looking flow
What I also like is the movement caught in some of the trees too, for me that's very effective, I would prefer the trees a bit greener but apart from that - Love it !!!!
the silhouette is great with the sun rays!
Lynne, sorry I've not popped in before.. For Duo, I rather like #1, and think it works well on several counts.
For Flow, I really like #1, except for the tree movement... otherwise it would be my fave... Personally, there's something about #2 which isn't quite sitting right with me, but I can't quite put my finger on it... it's almost contrast, but I'm not sure it's that... sorry, that's of no help at all... I think of the 3, I'd have to go with #3

Hi Lynne, #1 for me as well. I don't mind the tree movement as I think the water is fantastic. It looks like a good place to go back to for autumn colours!![]()
I very much like your...
"So , what have I learned today ?" bit - I must try and do this in future.
Also very much like the photos too esp #3
Hi Lynne,
Up, I love number onethe silhouette is great with the sun rays!
Flow, I like all three, can't choose a favourite! I don't mind the slight yellow tint to number one, it looks very autumnal! I think you've done well, just the right amount of movement on the water![]()

I prefer #2. The movement in the trees , as mentioned by others, spoils the first.
One point though: that fallen tree ..... sort of gets in the way?

Hi Lynne,
Up - I like your take on this, number two of the tram would be my pick. Nice to see that the weather cooperated too!
Flow - I think they all work. I'm torn between the colour and mono, not sure which I prefer.
Friendship - I can relate to being uncomfortable photographing people. So, well done!As you said, you've got young and old in the same frame, and I like that. I think a bit of space between the two couples would have been nice, but you can't always have everything.
Hiya Lynne, I know what you mean about people togging, it certainly is something you like or dislike, so a big well done for going out and doing something out of your comfort zone. Composition looks fine to me and it certainly is great to get 2 different generations in the shot. Perhaps a step or 2 to the right to give them a little separation, but I know you can't always pan these shots. Looking at the large version of flickr, on the left and right hand side there appears to be a couple of darker areas, which look a tad "noisy" is it part of the pp or was it there in the original?
