Hi Iain,

I like the shot, but feel the colours could be tweaked a fraction. I just copied the shot into elements and used the 'remove hue' tool clicking the dropper on the edge of the lime - gives a more pleasing colour balance.

I really like the clarity of the bubbles on the shot and it is an eye-catching composition.

Phil, please post your version on here if you wish. I don't have proper editing software, most of my images are just tweaked a wee bit in picasa. I would love to see what you have done with the image. Thanks for your comments.

I won't deny my Scottishness may have played a part in my reluctance to go spend 30p each on another lemon and lime :D
 
This works really well, especially the cropped version. The clever use of colours and the details of the fruit and fizz give it a real holiday feel.

Seriously lacking in inspiration for this weeks theme:( I did however manage to shoot something...
Here is my take on this weeks theme..I took a while to "Stop & Stare" C&C welcome as always.

I like it! Nice sky and interesting idea with the silhouette. I think it would be even better if you face had been very slightly in profile looking away from the camera.

I think this shoot needs another visit, I went out too late when the sun was going down. It was a difficult set up, I was running back and forward to set the camera then pose :lol:.

I really like it but would have liked more of the bike wheels in shot. The angle hides the front wheel a lot to me.

Other than that, the colours in the sky are really nice.

Well done on getting something for this week. I am afraid that mine will be very late or a joker :shake: Not inspired at all.

Thanks Andy. I really tried to get more of the wheels in but I struggled getting the camera so low so as the bike was on the horizon with little in the background. This is one for a reshoot methinks. As I said in my original post, I too seriously struggled for inspiration on the theme this week. Thanks again Iain
 
This would have been a great strobist opportunity. A nice big softbox on the rider would have been awesome.

Your ingredients shot is much improved. Have you tried GIMP for editing? It's free and does vitually everything PS can do.

Dean, I never thought to use flash, I was aiming for the silhouette effect for the image but thanks for the suggestion though:thumbs:

A good pair Iain, the edit of ingredients is much better. I really like that stop image. It fits the theme nicely.
 
I like it. Nice simple slhouette but am in agreement about the head profile and the fact that a flash on you would have been amazing.

Thanks Ian, I must admit I never thought about flash. I got an idea in my head for a silhouette and it kinda stuck. This is worth a revisit for me with flash. Your (and others) flash suggestion is food for thought, thanks again.

Thats not a bad idea Dean, I haven't paid enough attention to using my flash. Maybe i should set myself a mini challenge of using flash as often as I can to get competent with it.
 
Bit of a crowbar shot Iain but the I really like it.

The composition is nice and the contrast of the colours against the silouhette give the image lots of punch.

great shot for this week. He seems down in the dumps and lonely which really work with the theme. The lighting also helps set the mood

Sue thanks for your comments. The model being faceless is a happy accident if it says isolation to you:D. My intention behind the image is the isolation of the art mannequin waiting for a friend to be made from the blocks of wood he is sitting/leaning on.
