Nice job Iain, the cropped version is much better. The vibrance of the lime really stands out for me and makes the shot.
Hi Iain,
I like the shot, but feel the colours could be tweaked a fraction. I just copied the shot into elements and used the 'remove hue' tool clicking the dropper on the edge of the lime - gives a more pleasing colour balance.
I really like the clarity of the bubbles on the shot and it is an eye-catching composition.
Phil
Wow, cheers, nice shot. love the vibrant colours and just looks so real.

On account of recycling my props for the ingredients image (and cannot be bothered shopping for more)

That will be the "Jock" genes over riding everything else then......![]()
Hi Iain, I love this one. I don't think the blue bottle was necessary. I love the colours, especially the lime but also the colours in the background. The bubbles make it quite vibrant.
Jenny
This works really well, especially the cropped version. The clever use of colours and the details of the fruit and fizz give it a real holiday feel.
Great idea!![]()
I like this and it fits the theme. The colours are lovely and bright and the second image is much better.
Love that ingredients shot Iain! Not sure which version I prefer
I'm probably leaning towards the second, but there ain't a lot in it for me!

Phil, please post your version on here if you wish. I don't have proper editing software, most of my images are just tweaked a wee bit in picasa. I would love to see what you have done with the image. Thanks for your comments.
Iain
Ok! Here goes....not spent more than a few seconds on it, but....

Love the cropped version...so lovely and fresh....Phils tweaking has helped even more...really nice image....mouthwatering.
I like it! Nice sky and interesting idea with the silhouette. I think it would be even better if you face had been very slightly in profile looking away from the camera.
Phil
.I really like it but would have liked more of the bike wheels in shot. The angle hides the front wheel a lot to me.
Other than that, the colours in the sky are really nice.
Well done on getting something for this week. I am afraid that mine will be very late or a joker :shake: Not inspired at all.
Andy
This would have been a great strobist opportunity. A nice big softbox on the rider would have been awesome.
Your ingredients shot is much improved. Have you tried GIMP for editing? It's free and does vitually everything PS can do.
Lovely shot and it works really well as a silhouette and has added interest from the colours in the sky
A good pair Iain, the edit of ingredients is much better. I really like that stop image. It fits the theme nicely.
I like it. Nice simple slhouette but am in agreement about the head profile and the fact that a flash on you would have been amazing.
Ian.
Nice looking sky and silhouette, not a bad idea for a dull theme.
Dean, I never thought to use flash, I was aiming for the silhouette effect for the image but thanks for the suggestion though
That's just cos I look for an opportunity to get my lights out every week.![]()
Bit of a crowbar shot Iain but the I really like it.
The composition is nice and the contrast of the colours against the silouhette give the image lots of punch.
An interesting photo Iain. The fact that the model is faceless is the main thing that speaks to me of isolation.I dont know if that is what you intended
wow this is a great abstract take on it, i love the despondent slouch he has assumed, and as Sue says the fact he is faceless adds bucket loads to the shot.
great shot for this week. He seems down in the dumps and lonely which really work with the theme. The lighting also helps set the mood
