Beware of overcharging in supermarkets

However, what is mention in that article are not errors, they are practices such as “dodgy multi-buys, shrinking products and baffling sales offers”.

My comment was following this one of yours:

Which appears to be referring to errors, not practises.

No..a misunderstanding which is par for the course in forums. I did mean that they practice deception and sharp practice and when rumbled they claim, where they can, that it was an administrative error or blame a staff member. As Jeff points out ,he knows all the tricks. Sometimes the Competition and Marketing Authority get involved when it's clear that it's been company policy.

A super-complaint that came from Which ?. https://www.staticwhich.co.uk/docum...-practices---which-super-complaint-401125.pdf

I think the whole way they do (Sale and offer) reductions is verging on crooked.

Or it could just an error, I make mistakes in my work and expect Tesco employees to do the same.
I think that was my point - with tens of thousands of items in a store, no employee will be ahead of the IT at every step.

Ok, its Kent but Chapel Down is the only wine I buy now - Bacchus is excellent as is their sparkling stuff.
You must have deep pockets. I haven't had Chapel Down for over fifteen years, but they are not worth that money.

We went on holiday to France a few years ago and stayed at this guy's place. I still have one bottle of his Grand Cru Champagne left, probably the best sparkling wine I have ever tasted, and it was around £25 per bottle.

Not really, on offer in Waitrose recently - £11.19 a bottle and I had some vouchers which helped if I spent over x amount. Basically I did there what everyone was doing with pasta last year :)
