Watched a few of the Fallout extras and I never would have thought that it was filmed using film and not digital.
I worked in the film industry whilst in London and I remember back then just as High Definition digital was taking hold, it was still not considered anywhere near the same quality as traditional film so they would still be prepared to spend the huge cost of film and developing. This was the reason I was told why a a 30 sec commercial for a hair product (which involved Jennifer Aniston's hardressor) had a £10k bill for the film and a £10k bill for developing the film. However, when considering the cost of airing the commercial, £20k was trivial, especially if it meant the best quality.
I would have thought digital would have long overtaken film now in terms of quality, but the guy in the extra scenes said that film was always kinder on faces.
