Don't keep them anymore but used to. They need plenty of live food, with crickets, roaches and very occasionally locusts with the even more occasional waxworm. they also need lots of fresh veg ... here is a link to a guide I wrote which hopefully helps http://premier-morphs.co.uk/articles/bearded-dragon-care-sheet/Hi
my son is getting a breaded dragondoes anyone have one? Looking for the best place /website to buy food from
I'd be leery of getting foods off the evil bay ... Pets at Home do sell livefood (they can even get bulk bags of you ask) and are decent value - but do check the contents are alive!!Pets at home and other pet outlets will sell Crickets Locusts Meal worms ( but not too many )
pinkie mice are not always that easy to come by.
Even the Bay of evil sells inverts for food

Its been years since I bought anything like that, but never had an issue TBH.I'd be leery of getting foods off the evil bay ...
The probs we have had in the past were too many dead ones and really poor quality insects. I buy most my bulk live food from here http://www.livefoods.co.uk/index.php and they have always been decent, and a single beardie will get through a lot of food in a week, particularly when growing! Pets at Home are pretty decent though (surprisingly perhaps ...)Its been years since I bought anything like that, but never had an issue TBH.
Obviously if you can source locally, you can see what you are getting though.
Don't see why you can't name it ...Thanks Paul
I wouldn't use evil bay been looking at a gourmet website (not sure if allow to name it) begins with Z
No reason at allDon't see why you can't name it ...or put a link up.
My good lady wants another beardie and we may get one from there too - if you want or need some pointers on what to look for let me know. That's good to hear about pets at home that's were we are getting it from
When the beardie is young, and they grow quickly, it is even more important to dust the crixs (or whatever food you feed them) otherwise they run the very real risk of MBD amongst other things. All food should be dusted at any age for beardies, even the veg.I've got a gecko rather than a bearded dragon but the crickets that pets at home sell are fine also my local pet shop sells them
It's important to feed the crickets nutritious food before feeding to your reptile as crickets on their own are not very nutritious and dust them with calcuim supplement
This applies to geckos I imagine that bearded dragons are the same but I would get advice from the shop
Our local pets at home have a resident reptile expert
