Stupid half bath here so no point even entertaining the idea of Bath, wine and book anymore
Can't you bathe one half one night, the other half the next night?
We alternate every day between bath and shower: a shower is good for moving through quickly & washing hair, while a bath is great for relaxing and talking (or falling asleep) in. When I fitted our bathroom I was able to obtain a really large bath, and having adapted it for side taps it takes 2 in relative comfort.
My first bath took place in a kitchen sink, aged around 2 (and yes, I can remember it). I also remember the first shower I ever had (probably aged 4 or 5 at a campsite in West Wittering) where I never wanted to leave the lovely warm water, and had no idea there was a long queue of people waiting.

My first recollection of a bath was around the age of 2 as well. Kitchen sink as there was no bathroom; outside W/C which was downstairs, through the communal passage and in the back yard.
This would have been around late '59 or early '60.
In the mirror?Bath once a week (friday) wether I need it or not,if I can still see the bottom when I get out I don't consider it to have been a worthwhile exercise.
Your bathroom habits are your own affair. In the mirror?
I never get that dirty, but if I do following a cross country run or something like that, I'll have a quick shower first, then a bath...I tend to walk into our shower afterwards as well to ensure the soap is all off as I've got sensitive skin....with a bath youre essentially wallowing in a pool of your own dirt. Showers all the way!
sometimes 3 a day, direct heat has always helped me as a means of pain relief, i currently use wheat bags but the condition im now suffering is helped by a 30 minute soak in a hot bath, on the occasional really bad day i can spend a couple of hours in the tub topping up with hot waterOnce every blue moon here.. Its like a treat now![]()
