Argos have long dated fujicolour C200 35mm better than half price £3.99 for three roles. Not quite £shop cheap but better film maybe??

That's a better price than Asda that do the 3 pack for £5.99 but I've always found C200 to have pretty random colours so only use it in emergency/testing. Agfa Vista 200 is much better if you can get to a Pound Shop.

Poundland Agfa Vista Plus is just Fuji C-200 rebranded. The barcode and number (near the opening) on each 35mm canister identifies the film type to minilab machinery so it applies the correct film profile during scanning/printing, and with the help of a useful internet application and a list from the organisation which standardises this, you can easily identify what film it actually is. In this case after I put the details on some Vista Plus cartridges through they all corresponded to C200 (and it has every time I've used it).

Guys - this is local to me but if I buy it the Mrs will have a fit... anyone here interested? I hate to see it left...

Oh that is tempting and not too far from me!

It's a good price compared to a couple that have sold on eBay - bear in mind that if it doesn't work with a battery in, it's not very useful. The aperture defaults to f/1.7 and there's no real manual mode.

Also a bit of info regarding the Hi-Matic 11 worth noting from here:

One thing to keep in mind is never buy a Hi-Matic 11. A friend of mine was a Minolta tech in the 1960's. He told me the Hi-Matic 11's had an early electronic shutter and were trouble from the start. Many had shutters replaced under warranty. Many didn't get fixed...

You'd need a dark bag. The film is rolled lose in one side and wound into the cassette with each exposure.

They're sold out now - I told a colleague yesterday who's getting married and by the time she got home to order them they'd all gone.

Not my advert but I've just seem this collection of Rollei TLRs on Gumtree for £180 and have enough cameras at the moment :0)

http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/rolleiflex-and-rolleicord-cameras/1050957123

"3 cameras: an antique rolleicord, a further rolleicord and a rolleilfex. All working as far as I know. can supply serial numbers to work out ages. Rolleiflex has a 3.5 tessar lens. Two have leather cases. Piece of photo history and functional medium format cameras. No split, for a quick sale."

I haven't looked closely at their models but the 3.5 Tessar might be the best of the 3.

Cheers
Steve

That battered art deco might be just what I need, thanks for the post! I have really nice one that just needs a new focusing screen and a hood - hopefully they will be up for posting them up to leeds

No problem, happy to help. If I hadn't just bought some kit, I might have been tempted to pick it up myself :0)

I was so close to disobeying direct orders from the financial controller and going for these. If I could have guaranteed them working it would have been worth the risk.

Rocky are still doing their Easter sale, last few days, 50% off now (was 40%), if anyone fancies a gamble. They have an Olympus XA with flash in there which would cost £25 + P&P. I had it in my shopping basket three times then decided I don't need any more cameras!!! Anyway, just thought I'd post this up for the brave amongst you! ;)

Snagged a large format lens the other day - was quite a good deal (so long as it works) 50% is a heck of a lot of discount. Makes you wonder what he pays for the stuff!

This is one of those "darn it, missed" posts: spotted an ad in the local g*mtree yesterday for a cardboard box full of old photo gear for £10; the photo had a roll of Provie, one of Velvia and two of Astia etc, as well as a large collection of filters (no actual cameras). Fired off a quick request but someone was going round to see it, and today it's gone! :( There must be quite a lot of expired but still useful film lying arond that people don't understand the interest in...

I've heard he buys his stock by weight.

It should go to a good home Dean....you are very kind to cameras and you know they love you....:D

Get thee behind me, Snapper. :p

It'd be the beginnings of a brilliant travel film kit, that and the Ensign 820 which is due to arrive from ebay later this week and a small tripod and I'd be sorted. Until I decide I definitely need something else and it all goes out the window again. On the one hand, brilliant film kit, on the other, money toward the Fuji 10-24mm lens I've been dreaming about since I first saw it.

Decisions, decisions ...

I understand your pain mate. I've just bought Trev Bray's Fuji GW690 III but there are a few other things that I really need.....so much kit and so little cash.

I know, the bully made me buy it (at least thats what I'm telling the wife....;))

Nice one, glad you found it. I've used them before (they had a great offer on HP5+ a couple of years ago) and their fresh film is often priced well too.

7dayshop have free postage on orders over £19.99 that go by royal mail
