For everyones info the mods do a bloody good job here ....its not just any old forum where you can say anything and get awy with it as the mods and admin that run it all are Human and see it all in all forums so its moderated from top to bottom as it should be which everyone should be aware as this is the safe way to go and I for one give them a bloody good pat on the back for doing this.

Not long ago I said something to one of the mods when I had a few to many and got a 24hr ban which was worthy (even though I dont know what I said to this day) but without this kind of moderation and policing of this forum it will go the same way as others , so please let the mods rule it and do their jobs as mods and let TP be a place we can all feel free to come for guidance and have a chat n just feel like its a nice friendly place to be as it always is ....with no critisism to the good guys who do there very best to make it work

I dont know if this is the right place or if im out of order asking, but i had a run in with a nasty piece of work by PM a few week ago ive just learned that he/she has been banned any one know what for the member was rileydog or something

Yeah, I've been wondering about the abusive PM thing too.....recently.

I'd like to know if the mods are privy to PM's or not....gawd, as if there wasn't enough to keep track of moderating, sifting through PM's too...

We're only privy to them when they get forwarded to us.

ray I didn't realise you'd had abusive PM's.
The forum rules do extend to Private Messages, so if anyone is abusive in a PM, please forward it to a staff member untouched and we'll take a look.

That wasn't the reason the member in question was banned, and it would be unethical for us to discuss the reasons behind a ban.

However, in this instance, I can say rileydoggy was a duplicate account and therefore banned.

PS. Thanks for the kind words Dangermouse (and others). I know it's a PITA when you get moderated personally, and if I'm honest I would prefer a forum were we didn't have to enforce any moderation whatsoever. But that's a utopia..and utopia's don't exist unfortunately, so we do need to moderate.
I just hope that when we do, we get the balance right between fairness and enforcing the rules.
