Just got back from today's wedding. Absolutely fab couple and one of those really nice ones where you have the privilege of seeing two people who simply love each other. Puts a real smile on my face anyway. :)

Outside the venue today we had a red carpet, a slightly too long red carpet but a red carpet none the less. And I was stood on said red carpet keenly anticipating the arrival of my bride in a rather splendid Rolls Royce. Two of the eagle eyed venue staff noted, simultaneously and from opposite ends that the red carpet could do with a tug. And so they set about pulling it straight.

Cue my left leg heading left................and my right leg heading right.

Not good. I'm being pulled asunder and dare not crash inelegantly to the ground thanks to clutching my camera. I must have looked like Bambi on ice. My legs are simply not designed to dislocate at the hips.

Lord that hurt! I'm home in just about one piece and anticipating being a tad stiff in the morning. :shake:

I can see the funny side of it all right but by goodness that hurt! i have to admit I might have squeeked a bit!

I was shooting some first dance stuff later and I like to do some shots literally off the floor. My hips were killing me rolling about on a wooden floor.

I'm too old for all this! In need of a hot bath about now................

Laugh away. As long as I still can, I will! :)

It's just one of those funny things that happen from time to time.

I was waiting for a fellow tog from another wedding at the same venue to fall out of the tree she was in but she seemed like a very good climber! :)

lol, good morning. Still a little sore in the hips but still smiling. :)

thankfully it won't be on any video, one of the family was doing the video and he was already inside so there is no evidence. :)

Went through another sewing kit yesterday too, always those last minute bits and pieces and I've learned that if I can help smooth things like that it goes a long way to having a chilled bride. As well as charging batteries and formating cards, I now replenish my sewing kit. :)
