1,800 miles,
60 hours of driving
240 litres of fuel
1 ferry ticket from Uig to Loch Maddaigh
2 bottles of scotch
6 bottles of assorted wine
14 french sticks
1 1/2 lbs of cheese (coloured
)
6 Tics
1.5 million dead midges
1 blood test for lymes disease
7 days of Variouis weathers
2 Arguements
3 sulks (mine)
2 Books
Nearly flooded out of my campsite once
Absolutley bloody brilliant holiday.
Nice to be back and sleeping on my own bed though. Just starting to go through my shots now. Weather was very changeable, especially on the western Isles, but then it always is and I wouldn't want it any other way. At least we had one day of pure sunshine on Skye.
Even the BMW didn't let me down, now has 172,000 on the clock. (we wont talk about waking up in the morning and having a flat battery, no mobile phone signal and at least 10 miles from any civilisation. Or spending a whole day previously running the radio and charging things up with a power inverter, forgetting that car batteries aren't infinite!)
I shall look forward to spamming up the landscape forum!
