Ok I apologise now if the folowing sounds rambled as I am not the best at trying to explain myself sometimes.
Now I don't profess to being the greatest photographer olut there (the opposite in fact), but like many of us I would love the oppertunity to make sales on my images or just for taking shots for people.
I have been doing my own research into various things like freelance and libraraies so there is no problem there.
But what confuses the brains out of me is this......................
At what point should I start keeping a record of what I spent to get my shot and what I earn (if anything) of the shots I take. Is there any idiot friendly info that explains this, or how do you guys go abut it all?
I am a worrier by nature and I would hate to get in trouble for not reporting any extra money I may be earning. The whole "tax man" thing just turns my brain to mush.
I know that getting the odd £40 for covering a friends party or the odd Ebay sell is not going to amount to much or add anythign extra to what I already earn from my everyday job, but I would like to make sure I do thigs right.
.................................does any of that make sense????
