I didn't say they will be 8 before they drink coke. I said try will be 8 before I give them coke. Why is that naive?

Because unless you accompany them to every friend's house until that age then it's pretty much a cert that they will have Coke long before the age of 8.
OK so you say 8 before YOU give them coke...but they'll still have it.

I think there are greater dangers in the world to worry about on behalf of children than Coca Cola.

I'm not going to be dragging this out any longer. Give your kids what they want...or don't. Tease them with a hint of "squash", or don't. Just don't judge other people for how they choose to raise thier children, or what they choose to feed them.

Like I said.

It's the first time I will give them coke - I know they will still have it. I never said that 8 years old will be the first time they have coke so there is nothing naive about it.

Why 8 - seems very arbitrary number.
