I also like how you can pay with it instead of whipping out your bank card, cash or your phone. Very handy on tfl operated public transport.
And Costa Coffee!

I prefer StarbucksAnd Costa Coffee!
Only useful?
What about when you're upstairs and your phone is downstairs? There are loads of instances when it's useful.
If it's the same as the MacBook and iPhone then it's over wifi. Which is brilliant as Bluetooth in our house won't reach the room next to the one I'm in.Bluetooth headset. I can answer phone when it's upstairs and I'm not. Unless Apple Watch works over wifi then it will have the same range.

I'm happy for you. Personally I'd be more comfortable wearing a watch than a Bluetooth headset at home.
But I thought you yung'ns were never separated from your phones?Only useful? What about when you're upstairs and your phone is downstairs? There are loads of instances when it's useful.
I think "we" as a nation are relying too heavily on technology, I'd never do that. Far too much to go wrong.I also like how you can pay with it instead of whipping out your bank card, cash or your phone. Very handy on tfl operated public transport.
I definitely get that, I couldn't belief that when I arrived here 20 years ago people were actually using cheques to pay people and not chip and pin and online transactions. Online payments were cleared within 15 minutes in my experience...But I thought you yung'ns were never separated from your phones?
I'll often go out and leave mine behind.

The more that is linked together the greater the opportunity to hack into it.
eg
I have an on line bank account, that pays the bills, but will still walk into my local branch for large deposits or withdrawals.
I'd never sync that to my phone, sure my account could get hacked or someone breaks into my house and steals my PC.
There are a couple of possibilities there.
The minute I sync it to my phone the possibilities have increased by 50%, some small electronic item can easy be stolen.
Yes I do know about the safe guards, but that's why cyber crime is so successful, for every "block" there is usually a "work around"
No thanks.
As I said in another thread, I have just renewed my firearms licence and I had to send a cheque with the forms as its the only method of payment the police accept.20 years ago people were actually using cheques to pay people
Mine is set to destruct, the minute its 5 feet from the housePS. I hope you've encrypted your PC and other things. I did, and when my two macbooks were stolen I wasn't worried about the data at all. The effort required to break a 12 digit or more password totally outweighs any financial gain to be had from it...
Satan has more chance of becoming a Christian, than I owning an iPhoneBut at the moment I, and the industry, see it as much more secure than handing over your card.
Each to their own, I understand a little bit about IT security, and definitely prefer handing over a device specific token to a debit/credit card....But then again I am much younger, and down with itAs I said in another thread, I have just renewed my firearms licence and I had to send a cheque with the forms as its the only method of payment the police accept.
Had cheques been discontinued as was the plan a few months ago, I guess I would have been handing over cash at the local cop shop

And no I still don't trust it for the reasons above.
Look at all the people a few years ago, that were laughing smugly at all the virus's that windows seemed to be prone too, "Get a mac" they declared.
Well as macs became more and more popular, the hackers jumped on the band wagon![]()

This is it though isn't it? the younger generation have grown up with this type of technology and accept it without question, us older's are more suspicious of things we can't physically controlBut then again I am much younger, and down with it![]()

Hmmm not necessarily .. Ask me again after the nutters meetAnd soon and ex member![]()
Lots of false bank notes out there, robberies are easy, and soon we'll all being handing over plastic with the new bank notesThis is it though isn't it? the younger generation have grown up with this type of technology and accept it without question, us older's are more suspicious of things we can't physically control
like handing over cash, and then later on "handing over" plastic![]()
Surely not once I've got those pictures of you eating a nice Crispy Creme doughnut whilst sipping Nod's coffeeHmmm not necessarily .. Ask me again after the nutters meet![]()

Maybe you have, but there are a lot out there, probably the majority, that just accept stuff like this as "progress"you call it accept without question, I don't think that is fair. I've definitely questions it,
Garmin one looks good but it isn't clear whether you need a Windows pc to use all its features.
One feature which is missing off the iPhone which older Nokia phones had was a message light. If you missed a call or message it would sit and blink so you never had to turn the screen on to find if you'd had a call or text. Such a simple thing which made a massive difference.
You can do that on an iPhone and have been able to for years.
Yup, it's now just significantly overpriced rather than horrendously...

Don't forget quidco cash backYup, it's now just significantly overpriced rather than horrendously...
Treated myself today and grabbed one whilst on offer,, went for 42mm sport model. Maybe I'm easily pleased but very impressed with it.
Space grey with black band plus ordered nice 3rd party strap and spigen charger off amazon. Love it better than I expected tbh only thing is the haptic feedback for a message is quite subtle. Was impressed with speaker phone though and the other half said I sounded clearer talking through the watch than I did on my phone!!
Gone into settings and its already on full..just doesnt feel very strong?Have you increased the haptic?
