I use Easy Release for Model releases at sessions where necessary.
Just wondering if the app cost is one time cost or is there a need to pay more later? I remember that some time ago I found a similar app that charged for each release separately.
can you do any photo editing on them? I was thinking of downloading pics onto it maybe do some editing then transfer my pics from the ipad to a portable hard drive, does that sound feasible. I would add that if i wanted to do any major pic editing i would download to my computer to do it
It's around £5 and there's no additional costs to pay.
Yeah, i have the connection kit, its useful while traveling because you can off load all the images from the cards!
Yep, its a great idea! Just make sure you leave room! Suppose you could delete movies that you have already watched if you do need more space!I plan to do the same, to preview the shots from the day while traveling.![]()

From what I understand with the apple camera connection kit you get two adaptors, one sd and one usb. You can plug a card reader into the usb or connect straight from camera. It will import your raw files and also duplicate them to jpeg so you can vie them straight away.
Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I always use the iPad to view digital photos, its screen is fantastic. The camera connection kit works flawlessly. I also use an Eye-Fi card with sd->cf adapter in my 5dii to shoot wirelessly for instant review. It's excellent. ShutterSnitch is set to receive a small (fine) jpg rather than the full RAW. Transfer takes about 5s per photo.
I've got an eye-fi card I use for work stuff. You do need to be able to connect to a wireless network, but when in range and with the appropriate stuff set up it will download pictures to a location on the network or an internet site if desired. Not amazingly fast, but does the job well enough.
Google for eye fi for more info. I know my 60D has some specific stuff to work with them, but haven't tried to use it with that yet.
Not anymore. http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2011/01/eye-fi-direct-mode-send-photos-direct-to-ipad/ The Direct mode looks like can make its own wifi connection.
Yes in the setup you can set it for working with router, so you can send photos to Pc or ipad. Also if no wireless available it works in direct mode to ipad....
Just switch on wireless on the ipad and search for the ssid of the eyefi card and load up the free app available from app store and away you go....
Bought my 4gb eyefi card x2 from costco around £40...
Bought a SD>CF adaptor from maplin but does not work with eyefi card...

I'm bumping this thread to see how people are getting on with their camera to ipad connections.I always use the iPad to view digital photos, its screen is fantastic. That's if you have the big one. I guess for you the 16gb would be a waste of time. If using it for email, web browsing, showing clients different styles, would you need much space? I actually have the 16gb model sitting here in its box (b'day pressie) and I want to be sure it's right for my needs.I use my sandisk card reader plugged into the usb adaptor in the ipad and it works fine, problem is the limited amount of space available on them, 64gb less all the other software on them isn't that much these days
stonking screen for reviewing pics though
Yes, that plus the nice usability for clients is great. The screen really is that good.
