I think so David... ... but don't quote me on it... :naughty:

You're welcome Julie... ;) ... good luck in your quest... :D

I will be there with boots blacked at sparrow chirp on Tuesday, for one of each!

Had to take cat to vet this morning with a cut paw and did not get to newsagents until 10.50, thinking not much hope now.:'(

Much to my surprise, got one of each!

They seem decent enough quality too, for freebies!

Loads left in the Exeter branch of Smiths - and one copy of the mag where some tight tw@ has decided that £2.40 is too much to pay. Wonder if he/she got their camera the same way? Got the reflectors last time they had the give away - one white/silver and the other white/gold so this time just got the WB/diffuser. If anyone's wondering, the WB tool is in a blue patterned pouch and the reflector is in a red one. Packed in the pouch, the things are about 175mm (7") in diameter.

ok np lol not with it today. got masses of work going on and not enough browsing time

Tesco st-stephens will have a few i would think.

Loads in my village newsagaents this morning. Got the reflector. Nipping to smiths at lunch for the WB tool. I hope.

Going to town this afternoon. Hope WH Smiths have some left.....

I got mine... my local Sainsbury only had the white balancer, apparently, they didn't get any reflectors, I had a bit of a hunt for the reflector though.

Cheap tat with the reflective qualities of a bin liner, and the reflector isn't up to much either.

You after taking Fracster's title from him... :suspect:

what is the white balancer for - putting a flash through?

You can use it for taking white balance readings as the name suggests or also as a diffuser for your light source whether natural or flash... ;)

:p

WB seems a bit cheaply made, dont know about the reflector. You get what you pay for!

That's very true but they are very light and portable and handy when nothing else is available... ;)

You could always subscribe on-line and get hold of the better quality and bigger version for nowt too... :D

The clue's in the name - the WB tool is to set the WB rather than to use as a reflector. If you want a reflector, get the reflector version - the last AP freebies were very good and on a par with the Lastolite one I had bought a few weeks before the freebies appeared although they're a little smaller. The WB tool works very well as a diffuser too - either with flash or sunlight.

Is the reflector supposed to be grey/silver? I expected it to be white:thinking:

If thats the case just use the grey side to take a reading off and you don;t need the WB one.
