Its quite detailed (theres also one for the 7600i as well on the site) and basically it says that comes close to resolving 4000 dpi (about 3800 according to their test chart scan) but the catch is that you have to scan it at 7200dpi to actually get 3800dpi and then resize the scan if you don't want scans that are hugh and have no more real detail than scanning at 4000 dpi. (Of course though if you actually scan at that you get a drop in whats resolved so your forced to scan at 7200 dpi).
I'm looking at getting a 7600i if I ever have enough money as I shoot mostly colour at the moment so IR dust/scratch reduction is useful. Looking at other reviews on that website has me looking at Reflecta scanners as well for a similar price but they don't include Silverfast and an IT8 target like the 7600i Ai Studio version.... Choices, choices.....

Does a strip of 6 35mm negs, slides, MF, photos up to A4 and the quality was at least as good in black and white and better in colour.
Thought about a Epson too, either the 700 or the 750 but I shoot 99.9% 35mm and the results I have seen with the plustek scanners have been better than any flatbed. It makes life very difficult, these types of decisions. Or at least a distraction from the grinding drudgery of everyday life!![]()
cowasaki said:If you want to send me a strip of negs to scan I can do them at full quality as a test. Like I said I found the quality of the V500 better than the plustek and the V700/V750 should be even better.
