Sprats :) Just had a rather large plate of them, coated in a seasoned flour and fried to a golden brown colour. Two slices of brown bread and butter, a mixed salad with a balsamic dressing and a sprinkle of salt, lovely stuff  heads tails bones and all :D

Sprats... they're everywhere, our buses are full of them - seen enough! :D

I wuss out at the heads and tails, but heard that Hugh Fearnley-Whatshisname goes for it.

D'you eat the guts, too?

Yup! The guts didnt do the fish any harm

So really you're a posh cat?

I've gone off fish recently because some haddock we go from Morrison's hadn't been deboned properly, yuck! How can you eat the bones?!

 Well Jo, once cooked the bones in them are just kinda crunchy
The ones you were trying to eat are dangerous

Not keen on sprats, but there's nothing wrong with a few fish bones if they're the right kind.

You know the round spinal bones you get in tinned salmon? - that's the best bit of it. I always pick that out to eat before I make any sandwiches with it . . . yum!

I also really like prawn eggs. When you buy whole prawns with the shell still on and you sometimes find females carrying eggs in amongst them . . . the eggs have just got to be scooped out before de-shelling them. Really yummy on a bit of brown toast.

OK that's probably enough of my yucky food habits for a Sunday morning :D

Hmmm Spratt's had them when went to London to see Lion King, meal before hand deal ... yum yum :)

Hmmm, don't know sprats but whitebait done in the just the same way are fab.
