anyone else hate cyclists

Here's hoping one of them creams into a sheep on the moor then!
national sport up in the mountains behind me ,that and attending inbreeding classes ,weirdly enough we don't have the cycling problem the welsh side of the estuary only on the english side

Nearly wiped out 2 idiots on the way into work this morning, no lights, fecking idiots.

Yes I see the same guys every morning with no lights
agree bloody stupid especially when it's raining and dark

Natural selection..

Against the rules so no sympathy from me.

Although the amount of motorists that seem to forget lights would be an idea now it's dark and foggy the last few days is mind boggling.
Agree with that one. I couldn't believe it how many motorist hadn't switched on their lights last night.

I don't know whether its just people still adjusting to it getting darker or what but it's crazy.
For motorists I think a large part of it is laziness and stupidity. Also I wish it would not be allowed to have dashboard lights enabled with merely sidelights. I think it would help if they only came in with dipped beam.

I don't know why sidelights only is an option on the switch. Easy (and cheap) enough to include a sensor to make the headlights come on when lights are switched on while the engine's running and light is below x lumens. TBH, it's easy and cheap enough to fit all new cars with automatic lights. The problem then is stepping from something with auto lights to something without...

Legislation would have to be introduced, I suspect.
Currently you can happily drive along in the middle of the night on just side lights as long as the surrounding street lighting is sufficient.

because if that had been on my car yesterday, it would have been on headlights for several hours rather than sidelights and my battery would have been flat this morning :D

why she moved it from auto i do not know.

Yep, walking around with their flourescent coats and rucksacks, stupid walking poles and map cases, spoiling the view for everone else, blend in you b'stards
all dressed for a climb up Kilimanjaro and waltzing around hawes instead, gits!

up here the sheep roam free on the mountains behind me .its a real sod in the winter when its snowing and there in the middle of the road covered in snow

I haven't switched my lights on for over 4yrs. I let the car do it. :)

In wales you might not be pretending ;)

Either that or he doesn't like getting his meat and 2 veg out in the cold. ;)

which reminds me that part of the controversy regarding one event were instances where cyclists were in such a hurry to relieve themselves that they whipped out the meat & 2 veg and peed in full view of everyone else.

Must have been a small one then. Surely just getting the cock out is enough?

Folks might have filmed them doing so on their mobiles, save for the lack of a macro facility

i suppose it does illustrate the strength of feelings against the cycling fraternity though ,and although i cannot condone acts of stupidity like this i can also see the frustrations that lead up to it whereby one group of the public takes a holier than thou attitude and makes life hell for other users of the same facility
theres being frustrated and then theres willfully harming someone.

not in the same ballpark.

This is a very confusing statement - who is this "cycling fraternity". And what do they have to do with my son, wife or me?

"hell"? Why, and because of what? being held up for a few seconds, or a red light jump?

Jesus, if that's the attitude of the general public quite frankly cyclists are the least of your/our worries.

Crossing a pedestrian crossing this morning. Taxis, buses all stop. Yet two cyclist decide to just carry on. I was so tempted to give them a little push when I just about avoided being run over. Flipping selfish idiots. It is becoming a very regular occurrence.

I was behind a cyclist and car the other day for almost 2 miles which might not seem far but it is when you're doing about 10mph. I couldn't decide who i was more annoyed at, the cyclist who was a bit too far from the pavement or the motorist who refused to overtake him even though there were umpteen opportunities. Jeez it was frustrating.

On the whole though i have no issue with cyclists as there are very few about my local area. Maybe a tad too hilly.

I'd be more annoyed with the motorist. Too many seem to be too scared to overtake.

Wow, this is still going? All the mouthy drivers who spend half their time on the phone while driving or stuffing their faces still harping on about cyclists?/ really? I can't remember the last time anyone was killed by a cyclist tbh ...

I would have been seriously injured if I didn't jump out of the way of the idiots this morning.

Like the one about the flasher who will be tried in the small claims court. Afterwards he first thought of giving up, but decided he would stick it out for a bit longer

Yet another serious collision in York this morning cyclist-v-car. No idea who's to blame but I hope the injured party is ok.

some motorist cut me up the other day, i think i'll just go and put a bear trap on someones doorstep just because there is a car on their driveway.

well to be fair there have been those arse holes sticking plasterboard screws to the road because they are sick of boy racers

Some people are f*****g idiots - and they'll be f*****g idiots whoever they are angry with
