Wow. I never imagined that the answer to that question might be "watch this 11 minute video".
You did not have to "watch" the whole video as the light is in the first 37seconds.

Neewer, available from Amazon. Bought the 45W version last week to do some tests with.

Search Amazon for "LED e27 photography" and look for the CRI 90 versions. Only Neewer declares a CRI value from what I could find.

Hi, Many Thanks for the info.
I assume it is a photograohy test you are doing with the light/s if so any observations on them please?
Thanks
Russ

So far I've only tested that they work, that the lamp holder I've bought works and that the whole lot mounts into my softbox. I've done a 30 minute heat test in my softbox - barely warm, there's plenty of room out the back of the mount for the fan built in to the lamp to breathe.

No test shots yet, perhaps later this week. One thing I did note, the 45W is *bright* for a continuous lamp, even through the double diffusion of the softbox.

Hi, Cannot buy the ones from Amazon as will not post here to meonly UK but found on good old Ebay from China (where else makes electrical goods?;)) but above you said that the 45W are very bright, do you feel to bright and maybe 24W would be a better option? Thanks again, Russ

It depends how you're going to use it. I want it in a big softbox or behind a big scrim to provide reliable and repeatable "daylight" regardless of the weather outside for tabletop, product, food, etc. I'd also like the option to shoot wide-open with fast lenses so I suspect I'll end up with a lower powered version of this lamp as well.

Had it set-up today with the softbox, can't post the main shot that was my purpose of setting it up but I threw in something quickly as an illustration. It's just a quick shot - I know it could use more reflected light from the left and that the background is uneven.

Get the 45W, it's bright enough for tabletop work without causing any problems for narrow apertures. My estimate is that c.12" from the front of my double-diffusion softbox it's about EV7-EV8. Pretty much perfect for my needs.

Hi, Many thanks Alastair for ALL the info.
Only place I can find that will send the 45W here is China 2 to 4 weeks delivery time so now looking at one of these options as shown in images (I Hope:))
and use either two lower wattage bulbs or 4 X socket with the options of having 2 or 4 bulbs on at a time, this one with 4 X holder looks good.

Think about how you're going to use it. The 45w is a big lamp - it screws through the softbox mount because the mount wouldn't go over it. The 4-way lamp holders look even larger. If your using scrims that won't matter, but if your using a mounted modifier it could. The lamps need ventilation.

Hi, I have a large softbox with the zip option so I can setup the stand first inside the box then add the light/s. I no the light/s would be bouncing from the back so would loose a little power but photography never makes everything easy;)
Not the one in this image but simular to this.

I can share this now.. this was the shot I had the gear set-up for. 45W Neewer LED in softbox to the right of frame, large white card reflector for some fill to the left. My intention was big, soft, pseudo-daylight that I could control.

Love the shot really well done and well thought out.
