I had this happen consistently for months, got in no end of trouble because of letters not reaching me etc. I could go for well over a week, sometimes it would be nearer to two weeks, with no mail coming through my door. Then one day I would have 20 - 30 letters shoved through the door at once, and even then there would be things missing that I'm expecting.
I rarely ever send anything unless its sent as recorded, as it really is a lottery as to whether it will arrive at its destination or not. Recorded delivery, or delivered personally by hand is the only way I will send things now.
About the only service I dislike more is HDNL (Home delivery network), and I find it really annoying that amazon use them. Ive had loads of items "go missing" - aka stolen. Parcels that are marked as delivered on their systems, and when I make a complaint saying that I havent received the parcel turns up a couple of days later by a driver looking extremely guilty. Delivery drivers who are rude, obnoxious and borderline offensive. Parcels left on my doorstep, in plain view for everyone to see and easily rob. Oh and on one occasion Ive had a driver open my parcel so they so they could fit individual items through my letter box because I wasnt in to accept the delivery. I could go on...
Can you tell that I hate them with a passion? :bang:
Apologies if anyone here works for HDNL, I have met a handful of perfectly pleasant, nice delivery drivers, often sharing a quick smoke or cup of tea with them whilst having a chat before they leave. But the problems I have had far outweigh the positives unfortunately.
