I already have my own private bank, not sure the missus would be too happy, if I stared making deposits elsewhere. Besides, I am probably too old anyway :-)

I bank online.

The comment in the news report, about donors dropping since the law change, says it all. Maybe the law should be reverted back, I for one would be worried about how many potential offspring could be created from the donations made, that could in theory trace you.

with 6 children,10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren i think i have spread my seed around more than enough ,so no thanks :banana::banana::banana:

I think we are probably too old, more than capable, but just too old. Something I may have thought about, had I been in my mid to late twenties maybe [emoji4]

I read somewhere, you had to be fit and healthy , obviously. But also of good character, good education. Also good looking, and pretty tall etc.

So even if I was a lot younger, I would probably not have been accepted [emoji17]

They can have mine but I'm only 5'6 with no education and middle aged spread.

Funny isn't it, look on a catalogue and people get fussy. They always want perfection! Get to know us, and they will have our children.

Going by description and stats, I would never have gotten a look in [emoji4]

Indeed

There you are, family of your own, just off out on a nice sunny Saturday morning when you are met on your front path by an 18 year old you have never seen before who say's "Hello Dad"

Yes I happily donate my super sperm but the right to trace is very off putting. No thank you.

Starbuck trailer ? I was expecting coffee.

Still I guess he's bean there done that :D

And more seriously with only 9 donors out there, there are going to be an awful lot of related kids in the coming generations, so how do you know you aren't going out with your half sister / brother ?

Looking at the Jeremy Kyle show I don't think that is a big concern for most. Scary thought as the gene pool is not looking great.

I think a lot of donors dropped out of the program when they changed the rules on being able to track down your biological parent.

trying to think why the cut off age is 40? (serious question)
Apparently the sperm have to be pretty robust to survive the freezing process - 90% of potential donors fail at this testing stage. As you get older, the little guys are less healthy so they rule older men out to save them wasting time on running all the tests.

Cheers dude, hadn't thought about the stress of the freezing process.

Are you sure it's to save the men wasting their time, or the sperm bank wasting their time? I'm sure most of us waste our time like this. Besides most of us would love to waste time , like this [emoji4]

The latter, which is what I thought I wrote (I'm getting old). If 90% of younger guys fail the freezing test, an even higher % of older guys will fail, so no point wasting time on the process - especially as they pay the donors.

Does anybody remember those fake photos or videos, about a sperm bank a few years back? Supposed to be nurses helped the men make a deposit , at the bank. As if eh, we would all be queuing up to make a deposit [emoji4]

NOTE I think the photos were supposedly of a Japanese or maybe Korean bank.

I think you may be confusing reality with your dubious online browsing history... ;)

Too late for me - over 50 and had the sizzle anyway! Odd how having to provide samples takes all the fun out of a QOOTW... ;)

Just dubious sites I get taken to, when typing in something innocent

lol
As I understand it, Google predicts preferred sites going on past browsing history :p
That'll teach you not to have a "clear out" :D

What's the sizzle? Only thing I can think that sizzles, is the sausages I cook in the morning [emoji4]

I tend to do a weekly clear out, might need to do a daily one [emoji4]

Was previously known as "the snip" but medicine has moved on from cutting to burning.

Still, got to better than leeches.

Never knew that, sounds painful. Much prefer the snip I think. Besides how can burning be reversed if so desired ? Not that I am going to be need doing lol
