I hope you're putting antifreeze back in as well as water.
Is there no staining anywhere. The antifreeze tends to leave a stain on the block or pipes where ever it is leaking from.
If Ford are so bad why are they the UK's biggest seller for the past 31 years?
Why are so many of their models considered best second hand buy?

Don't know what you're missing.
I won't have anything else but.
In 28 years of driving I've had 11 Fords other than a flat battery and a siezed engine because I never serviced it I've never had any trouble.
My current car is a 98 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia X, bought with FSH having covered 151,000 miles, it has now covered over 225,000 miles still on it's original engine, gearbox and clutch, only let me down twice when I've left the lights on and killed a dying battery twice. That was the original battery and it was 6 years old at the time. Still runs like a dream, and averages 37mpg in winter and 42mpg in summer.
With names like Superb, Octavia and Fabia,Nor one of those

that's reason enough not to even bother.

i work at a main ford dealership for over 6 years (master tech/foreman), the water in the footwell will be down to the pollen filter scuttle panel incorrectly/not sealed.
the cost will be a staggering £340![]()
Definitely this. My sons 51 Focus had this and we resealed it with sealant which resolved the wet floor. It comes from Ford with a tacky strip but obvious at a service the tacky strip was reused instead of replaced.
You checked the 'heater control valve' is functioning? A common problem on many Fords.
Ouch!!!!!!!
