Just starting to learn the terminologyshame we don't have a dedicated page on here
I've just finished making a barn door tracker which you can track the rotation of the stars, therefore using longer exposures
http://www.psychohistorian.org/display_article.php?id=201303261529_barn-door.content .
but due to the weather have'nt had a chance to try it out, also a lot of people say use a 2.8 lens or something like but if you look at this you can try different lenes http://www.astropix.com/HTML/I_ASTROP/LENSES.HTM

............. Please!!! Don't get me begging, it's not a pretty sight

LOL but we do like to see a bit of sucking up from time to time.It would be fab to see an astro section on here, but it's been asked a couple of times up in Admin towers with no luck so far. Perhaps there's a few more of us here to make it a worthwhile section. At the very least it would be nice if we could have a go at making it work!
Cummon guys and gals............. Please!!! Don't get me begging, it's not a pretty sight

Took this back in 2011 through the eyepiece on a Skywatcher Explorer 200 telescope. I would like to get into long exposure stuff though such as the Milky Way, Nebulae, even time lapse.

VERY AWESOME moon picture. The colour and detail is fantastic.
Nice shot...how did you take it through the eyepiece? Did you just hold the camera there or did you use something like this http://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00664J668/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AC0Z9SY209HFV
