When approaching a roundabout in a car it should be that you can only turn left. Just think how quicker the traffic will flow, no holdups.![]()
There's a couple of junctions/pull-outs locally where I'll more often than not turn left to go right due to traffic flow or sight lines.Hehe, it would make planning a journey interesting. It reminds me of the stories (not sure if there is any truth in them) of people who allegedly only ever turn left because they don't like crossing traffic to turn right.![]()
Unfortunately there is some truth to this, my sister in law will travel many miles in order not to turn right. She can get to our house using the shortest route by only turning left so she's ok with that, but going home means she has to travel through the next town to find a route that suits her. If she and her husband should visit us using their own cars for some reason, it's very strange watching them go home at the same time, at the bottom of our street he turns right and she turns left. Personally I think she should have her licence taken off her, but then again she's not doing anything wrong I suppose.Hehe, it would make planning a journey interesting. It reminds me of the stories (not sure if there is any truth in them) of people who allegedly only ever turn left because they don't like crossing traffic to turn right.

Christ you'd be going round in never ending squares in Milton Keynes![]()
Could be interesting in Milton Keyns with all those roundabouts![]()
Apart from the MK road planners you mean? ;0)Any more p*** takers?![]()
I remember the joke about looking out for cars in MK with skeletons in them; folks lost in the roundabout maze who'd run out of fuel, then starved to death.Christ you'd be going round in never ending squares in Milton Keynes![]()
Scoff all you like, what other major city (Ok so its a town really) has 70mph duel carriage ways running vertically and horizontally through it?Apart from the MK road planners you mean? ;0)
Any more p*** takers?![]()
I'm sure that's far too close to the truth IanSound like they are the same team as here at Folkestone

And most of the time you can do that speed as well, but I know that one day, it'll get grid locked, especially with the MK Dons Fiasco of a stadium, the MK Bowl concerts and of course CMK shoppers.
Thats not grid locked that's the stupid queue through the road works.Really ??, I've been gridlocked coming off the M1 many times![]()

Besides, you should have turned left then right and cut through the back way, that's always clear
Bedides The J13 road is now fully open, a duelled for about 3/4 of its length ...
Still waiting for the rest that was promised though.![]()
Anothergreatcrap idea
I love that roundaboutThey should use the turn left option only at the Magic Roundabout in Hemel. It would make you think more of what angle to attack is best.
I love that roundaboutWhile people are stuttering and fluffing about,
I'm around it and gone, its only been there since the early 70's you'd have thought that people would have got the hang of it by now though, wouldn't you? .
