AndyMc133 My52's 2011 updated Week 40 - 44

Took the pic a while ago at southport airshow I think I used my old fuji camera thats why there is fringing I bought my sony camera not long afterwards as I was not that happy with the results I got when zooming in, picture is actually not cropped very much but probably on full zoom as it was over the sea

Can sense the fun in Hidden....nice stuff.
Lovely tones in Broken - nice view - lucky lady....
OK Bright shot - perhaps polish the bulb next time ;) looks to have a few dust spots on it...

I won't comment on Rescue as it was nt taken specifically for the challenge...

Cheers.

Hi Andy

great use of an archive shot for Rescue..certainly bang on theme & well caught .
Maybe a possibility for a reshoot at some point ?

Week - 26 "Sensual"

DSC05756.jpg

Well to me she's the perfect mix of grace and power and anyone who saw her take off at Waddington will know she made the earth move. The ground was shaking with the power from her engines and the noise was a total sensual assault!!!

A bit off subject for some but am I bovvered!!!!

Week - 27 "elaborate"

DSC05911.jpg

The Belgium F-16 fighter with a very elaborate paint job only out done by the crazy Dutch F-16 and it's tiger paint job but as it was only on static display not so good to photograph

loving your sensual andy, totally agree with your comments about her... she has great curves and the power she puts out is amazing...nice rear shot as well, no sight of any undercarriage... i seriously don't mind it being 'off subject' ..

as for elaborate... thats some funky paint job???? ... you have an eye for aviation... the helio shot was much improved shame about the winch , but the association is there to rescue.

thanks for your kind comments the Vulcan is one special plane that deserves to be kept flying, she is totally funded by donations and is always in need of more

http://www.tvoc.co.uk/

I even met Martin Withers the pilot that flew the black buck raid in the Falklands War and bombed Port Stanley airfield,16 hour non stop flight. He is at most airshows as he is usually pilot or co pilot but he ppends hour chatting with onlookers.

Hi, I can see and hear what's been said about your sensual photograph, but I'm afraid I'm not sensing sensual. I see a plane, and a very nice plane, but a plane none the same...

Elaborate, much better. I really like the elaborate detail on the underside, like the lines. I'd like to see a tad more of the smoke.

Cheers.

Hi Andy

liking both your captures for Sensual & Elaborate !
Maybe some can't see the connection but .... you can & thats what matters .Sensual doesn't always have to involve body parts , it's how something makes you feel...hoping that knida makes sense? Bit like the sound of an EVO on full chat.....awwwwesome , makes your knees goes weak & the hairs on your neck stand up

That paint job is a cracker to

yes you seem to understand my point well and I even said in my origional discription that it was a bit off subject but you cannot please everyone!!!

and for those who still need some convincing take a look at this short clip I think out of all the videos on youtube of the Vulcan this shows it raw power off to the max crank up the volume if you dare and I bet it gets a reaction !!!!!

You have obviously never seen or heard the Vulcan fly then !!!!

Hmm, you're actually wrong on both accounts.

Sensual is in the eye of the beholder, as anything is.

As I said it's a very nice plane, great curves and power but I don't see sensual.

Cheers.

something is senual when it brings gratification of the any of the senses and the vulcan does that to my hearing when she howls

Have to say... totally with you on the Vulcan being sensual... I had similar sensual stimulations watching the red arrows in edinburgh

Hi Andy,

:notworthy: Absolutely in awe of your shot for elaborate.
I wouldn't know where to start with shooting something this. You've captured some amazing detail, the colours are fantastic and the focus is spot on. Well done you !!!

OK, while I've looking at the whole of everybody's threads, I'm trying to restrict myself to commenting on just the last week (otherwise I'll be here forever!) But I can't let "bright" pass without comment. Really, really like that. Very simple idea and composition - but it just works so well.

Week 28 - Celebration

Week 28 - Celebration by AndyMc133, on Flickr

Vulcan & Lancaster Bomber Formation in celebration of the genius of Roy Chadwick he was the Chief Designer for the Avro Company and these are his two most celebrated designs. I took this at Waddington in 08 on my old fuji camera so not the best pic but one of my favorates of both planes as although I have seen both planes every year since I have never seen them fly together in formation

Andy...

I like everything about this shot... background... lighting etc etc...

... but I cant help thinking it looks more like a pile of poos than a pile of coffee beans... I think its just the colour especially... B and W conversion might help!

Or maybe its just my twisted dirty mind!!!!

Hi Andy,
Nice shot that is well set up and taken. Really crisp.
Like the guys above I have to admit that I thought for an instant that it was something else smelly as well  although I have to agree with Tina on preferring the coloured version.

Hi Andy

love the shot for smell...& I didn't think of anything other than coffee beans when I saw it :D The lighting , positioning & colors all look great to me , the color version is far better...but just to be awkward ....my head keeps saying....coffee & cream ?

Great idea & well executed mister

Hi andy,

love the celebrate, but the sky just seems to dark, mmm does that mean the whole photo is underexposed? still to get both in the same shot AND good detail .. gets my thumbs up of the day

as for coffee..marmite moment! i prefer the colour but i'm not a coffee lover and all i see is beans...albeit the mono does reemble something else.... funny THAT..people thought opposite .. crazy

:thinking:Hi Andy, the link doesn't work, just brings up an about blank screen.
Edit, Fixed by the time I posted! INteresting shot andy and it certainly does look weird. I am just trying to think what it could be

Weird angle and definitely a weird looking object.

I do like the angle and the what look like stains on the underside.

It also reminds me of something else but I'll see if anyone else notices.

Cheers.
