Oh dear! Not good... funny though!
But it does make you wonder what the answers would have been over here?![]()

Personally, I'd be confident on every one.... but speak for yourself......![]()

this isnt representative at all of americans, it's a funny video for sure. But they've just shown the stupid ones, I could go out and pick 30 stupid brits and ask them as many questions they'd get wrong. A large percentage of the people I work with on a daily basis are american and they wouldn't have answered any of these questions incorrect.
Although that's true it's amazing that people can get some of these questions wrong. How
Many sides does a triangle have? Everyone should know that.
What's happening in the middle east is a different story, you can find people who don't know that everywhere.

Actually I think it's a very fair representation. In general they have little to no knowledge of the world outside of their borders. Try finding international news on the TV when there, it's almost impossible. It's even hard finding CNNInternational, and CNN and FOX News et al are VERY focussed on the USA. It may sound harsh, but in general, Americans are ignorant.
We in the UK have the rest of the world on our doorstep and very few of them speak the same language as us naturally so we grow up with a much more international viewpoint, growing up in the USA they can be thousands of miles away from a person who speaks a different language (excluding Spanish) so their attitudes and the things that are important to them are different. Ask the right question and you'll get a better answer. It's ignorant to say that Americans are ignorant.
To be honest, there's a few parts I would love to visit...........
And no Florida, California, NY, LA are not anywhere near the top of the list.

2nd weekend of April at a certain golf course in Augusta would be nice.... apart from "you da man" and "get in the hole"
New Orleans would be cool, as would all the deep south.
No California
So that's a no to Yosemite National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley National Park, Mojave National Preserve, Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park, Tahoe National Forest and many other National forests and parks, along with San Francisco, Alcartraz , San Diego, and lets not forget 17 Mile drive, passing Pebble Beach, Spyglass and Cypress Point Golf courses, and what about going down the PCH passing Big Sur, and the fantastic coastal scenery.
California is big very BIG, it's not just LA, and Beverly Hills 90210
Now California is great, but for me Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota are better still., but I still fancy doing a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway, with a bit of Nashville and Memphis thrown in.
here's the irony. 1.30 the person creating the video can't even spell "colours" :bang:

yep there are a few thick Brits around too.............
I would not call any of them thick Brit or US. I think if you gave them the questions on paper and said you would pick it up in a 1/2 hour they would have done a lot better, time to think. Also there are a lot of people around the world who don't give a rats a** about who is running another country or whats going on there...not thick just no interest.
Maybe the thick ones are the ones that make blanket statements about something.
I saw a video on Youtube with me, Brian Cox and Stephen Hawking in it - so everyone from the UK has a PhD, right?![]()

Name a country starting with a 'U'? Yugoslavia.......![]()
