Alternative to Nikon 24-120 f4?

Guys one last option, Tamron 24-135, old lens but anyone used it? It can be had cheap but not many reviews around. Anyone still got this lens?

Stunning for the money I regret selling mine to Gary Coyle who in turn regrets selling it on too I believe

 classy lens, superb IQ and built like a tank, AF is a little slow though but the images and range are superb

The Tamron 28-75mm is even better though

Thanks but I feel the 4mm will help me a lot as I intend to use it for travel, every little (width) helps...:)

If youre happy that its not an f/2.8 lens and that you wont be shooting anything that needs lightning fast AF then its a no brainer, the 24-135 is probably the very best lens in its class, and for the price you wont go wrong, if you can find one, like rocking horse poo im afraid

Mate of mine was selling his a few weeks back but had no takers, hes just gone away for a fortnight, he did want £230 for it, i thought he was asking too much but they are quite rare and to be fair are worth every penny of anything under £250

do you want me to email him

Cheers Gary, I'll make up my mind whether I need the f2.8 or not...I might do some casual night photography too (I'm not a pro but just for events like dinners etc)
