Stupidly, I left the instructions for the software elsewhere, hence I am throwing myself on your collective mercy
.
I installed "Nikon Transfer" when I first got my D700 and it (as well as NX2 Capture) has worked just fine for downloading my files from the camera.
Now, I have a D40 as well. When I first plugged the D40 into a USB socket (expecting it to open up Nikon Transfer), my laptop simply saw it as a "remote storage device" and assigned a letter to it. The problem is that Nikon Transfer also only sees it as "The G Drive" and so not all of it's functions work as they should :|.
So, is anyone else running multiple Nikons with this program, or does anyone know I should 'install' the camera so that Nikon Transfer recognises it ?
Thanks!
