Hi, a bit of a random question, but is it possible to export images from Lightroom with a fixed aspect ratio (16:9) even though the images have random aspect ratios?
What I'm trying to do is to export images so that they can be shown on widescreen tv's around school (I'm a teacher by the way), but if I just save any images to a memory stick, the TV's automatically stretch them to fill the 16:9 aspect ratio, which appears to be really unpopular with some Year 11 girls when shot in portrait format and stretched to look wider than they are tall!
The only way I've managed to get around the issue so far is to open a MS Publisher document to the 16:9 ratio, individually paste images onto the page and then export each individual page as a jpeg, thus resulting in an image with a white background at 16:9 with the original image in the centre at the correct proportions. A long winded and ham fisted operation to say the least!!
So, a simple export from Lightroom would be fantastic!
Thanks
Aled
