On Saturday my son arrives to tell me he is dumping CS6 in favour of CC (He is a lecturing artist.).
I have been using a copy of PS that he had installed for me on my computer.
He asked if I would mind doing the same, I agreed thinking he would supply the necessary, he said he couldn’t as the seats had been allocated (Whatever that means.). Therefore, I would have to have my own copy.
He tells me if I’m quick and buy before March 31st, I can get it for £9 a month, so I did, all went well, that was Sunday.
Monday morning I boots up and “Oh calamity.” this electronic marvel that devours time and power, failed to come to life.
I did what every savvy “NOT”, ex sh*t under the fingernails mechanical engineer does. I switch everything off, give it a good hiding and switch it back on.
It boots up fine only thing is CC is blank and none of the installed programmes would work.
So being the rational calm individual that I am, I rebooted. Still the same, so I un-installed all of CC and re-downloaded and again installed, on opening the CC panel again was blank. I was stumped.
I approached Adobe for advice (I’m still waiting.).
Ten or so hours later, I stumble across a response to a similar problem on an Adobe forum.
The answer although in geekish I followed with fingers crossed. Thankfully, it worked and I can now announce that I am the latest newcomer of what seems at first usage to be an improved new tool that I look forward to playing with.
£9 a month I hope the pension holds out, that’s three pints of “Tribute” gone.
The solution to the problem is explained in a thread in the computer section.
