A Picture a day (My 365) . . . Made it to the End!

1st November: Boat on the Beach Taken with the little Ixus compact, placed on the stones. Enhanced by Bleach Bypass filter in Color Efex Pro.

2nd November: The light at the end of the underpass.

Taken with the little Ixus compact, placed on the floor. Enhanced by solarisation filter in Silver Efex Pro.

Have to agree, the boat caught my eye too.
You do this worn, weathered texture thing very well.
 
Thanks chaps, That boat shot took a little bit of processing to get the effect, the normal shot straight out the little compact was very flat with very little contrast
 
3rd November: Lifeboat house by moonlight

This shot of my local lifeboat house was taken in pitch darkness with 20 second exposure and ISO 640, with left hand side lighting from the moon.

Love the near daylight effect and the shadow of the walkway cast by the moon. Pleased it came out ok as I had no torch and was not able to tell exactly how my composition looked. Very little processing on this image too.

That's mad. Looks like an image from a computer game, with the diffuse moonlight and the sea that's been flattened by the long exposure. Interesting pic!
 
4th November: Colour of Autumn

Used Photo Stylizer filter to produce a rusty copper effect, then bleach bypass filter to enhance the leaf detail.

I could be without broadband for up to 3 weeks from today :( So not going to be on here as much as I would like.
 
5th November: Bow of HMS Illustrious

Loved the light falling on the bow of this UK aircraft carrier, this shot is heavily cropped as I can’t get any nearer and there are all sorts of obstructions.

Thanks Jonny, yes taken a shot like this before, but HMS Daring was in view, not HMS Illustrious
 
8th November: The Lifeboat

Taken at 24mm (widest lens for my 5D2), struggled to get this much in shot as my back was right up against the slipway doors.

11th November: Overboard Dummy

The only shot I could take as the seas were too rough to launch the lifeboat for a training exercise, will try again next week.

That was the effect I was after and there is no selective colouring in this pic ;)
 
12th November: The Running Man

Just before arriving at work a spotted the playing field shrouded in early morning mist, so pulled the car over and got out the camera, waited for this chap to run past just visible in the mist.
